| We all know the position now Cas get a new coach & any new coach gets a reaction, however, two players we never deal with , 1st, McShane, he is due back, we never wrap him up & prevent him from running the show especially near the line & under the posts, 2nd, Blake Austin, we always fall for his acute side step & dummy, his trade mark. Will we have a game plan, we play non structured when defending, squeaky bum time with our track record on these two !

Blake Austin could not beat us with Leeds and I'm not sure McShane is back, he broke his arm.
So a bit premature to worry.
Personally, we need to play our own game.
The key to me is that their defense is poor. If we attack like we have been we will score a lot of points.
Our defense has been pretty good so we just stay discipline and we should do it.
They will clearly have lots of enthusiasm. We need to out enthuse them too.
Clearly it can't be a bad thing to beat Hull but if we do we must still play against Cas like we are underdogs who hardly ever beat Cas.
The best thing for us is having Griffin though. I think he'll be like a knife through butter once Fifita and Atoni have drawn them in.

| Two months ago we were dead and buried… now we have a fighting chance … games, and seasons can change in a heartbeat… every game now is a do or die effort…
I’m hopeful but not confident. (A statement which reflects my life as a trinity fan)

One of the bug bears for Trinity over the last few years has been Eden, especially when playing on the left wing. WE must assure that we have cover there at all times. Hopefully, McShane will fail a fitness test and Gale can more than match anything that Austin comes up with.

| Leeds have hardly set the world alight this year and allowing Austin to leave midway through the season to me shows how little they value him. Would they let Cam Smith or Handley go mid season? Andy last is a very well respected coach within RL, yet Cas have been abysmal, their ageing side has unfortunately bit them on the bum.
It’s a poison chalice taking on the Cas job, you succeed and keep them up some how, then you’ve got to sort out that ageing underperforming squad for next year, when the majority of the time they’ve been at the bottom of the table with us and players probably won’t want to go near them. Obviously is they go down, your the coach that couldn’t save them.
The ball is firmly in our court, we’ve got some form and an actual potent attacking structure. Our defence has looked solid and also we’ve got our best middle and second rower to come back.

| I honestly don’t think Austin is a good fit for Cas in their current predicament. One of my good friends watches Leeds every week and he says when things aren’t going well for the team Austin is one of those players that tries to make things happen but the more he tries the worse he looks and the more of a mess he gets his team in and I can see that but at least he will try things I guess. When we played Leeds the other week, I came away thinking Leeds would have had a better chance of winning that game without Austin in the side, and that was way before his cas move.
On a new coach syndrome, it’s entirely dependant but whoever it is will only have 4 training sessions before our game as they’ve all been given a holiday until 14th August.
McShane, I’m not worried about at all, looks good in a good side but we all know from experience as soon as the backs are against the wall he doesn’t want to know, he will be handing a transfer request in soon enough.

| If it's John Kear, he has had a long chequered history in the game. He has been sacked by a number of clubs. However he also achieved two fantastic high points, Sheffield Cup win and our great escape in the million pound game season.
So he has sent Cas down once and kept Wakey up. Let's hope he relegates them again and keeps us up.

| Every coach has been sacked. Otherwise they'd still be there till retirement.
Kear is well regarded in the game.
He got Sheffield promoted then took them to challenge cup victory against all odds the season after.
Won the cup with Hull in 2005. First time since Toppo did it in 82.
Saved us against the odds then took us to our highest ever SL finish
Took Bradford from league 1 to make them competitive in Championship. Beating Leeds in challenge cup against the odds.
Just been let go at Widnes but he is the 7th coach in 7 years there. I'm thinking he isn't the problem.
So although he's knocking on and may not want the hassle, he is far more of a danger to us than Austin or McShane.

| I don't care who they sign or who their coach is.
Its a bit late in the day to be targeting a do or die game with a new coach and/or new recruits, the game is only a week or so away.
They may help the Cas cause a littler further down the line but for this one, we will win this home game one way or another.

If we play as we did against Wire we will win.
What we mustn’t do is let the occasion get the better of us.
A win today would help massively.

For me it’s all about form and consistency, apart from the blip against Huddersfield, the left 5 weeks we have been gaining both. A win today will settle the nerves

| I see Westerman as a bigger threat than Austin, if we just allow him to stand in the middle of the field distributing the ball he will hurt us

I have no idea where you get such confidence from being a Wakey fan!
