He's purity much a hit and miss half back, but missed more than usual this season. Not many half backs in SL hit the dizzy heights week in week out, so he's in prity good company.

He is an excellent 7 playing with a 6 and 9 who have game management skills and creativity. Unfortunately our DOR / Coaching staff for some reason or other believed that Gaskill, Smith and Hood were fit for purpose. Lino gives 100 % every game, his support play, speed of the mark, defence, determination would make him a superb signing for Leeds playing alongside excellent creative players and game managers.

I hope Leeds have the same opinion as you on Lino. I don’t doubt the effort part though just his game management, quality and decision making. He has some good off the cuff, speed off the mark I agree with that part. Just a shame what we need he lacks.

I really like the guys energy and commitment but he does need some supporting partnership out there to allow him to show his true worth. He wears his heart on his sleeve and I remember him coming to the fans after that defeat at Cas absolutely shattered and gutted.
Hope he stays.

I'm glad he's staying, it's a good piece of business - especially if they have a drop clause built in which means he's contracted with us even if we do drop but he's paid a reduced salary

Now we need to build a team around him instead of expecting him to pick up the work of 3 spine players

What I want to know is why is Applegarth still here and why is he getting involved with player deals. It’s like Chester all over again.

Lino has been the best player of this season by a country mile. Let's be greedy and get Whitbread and Bowes signed up too. Other than the young players most of the rest I don't want to see in the shirt again.

I clearly don't see the same in him at the moment as some of you lot. We have only scored 77 points in 12 games, I'd not be throwing a three year contract at him right now.

One of our better players, good to see him commit. With a decent spine to help him out he’d go even better.

My thoughts though are with Trojan Horse at this difficult time.
