Hi all, couple of updates.

FIRST

The full version of the Trinity Times will be on sale for the Catalan game. Remember the Reece Lyne edition was a test.

The price is going up, however so are the number of pages and the amount of content.

The only thing missing will be Reserve/Academy results, as no games will have been played when the first issue goes on sale.

Think you will enjoy, with the addition of a humorous column, two new contributors and a quiz, it will be a good 20 minute read, which is what a lot of people want to pass the time away pre kick off.

SECOND

A number of posters have been asking about finishing touches to the stadium once the first phase re-development is done. To make it clear, all the money from the s106 settlement is now accounted for, so that’s gone.

However it has always been the clubs intention to harness fan power to help in areas where funds were not allocated. Using fan power is something it’s struggled with for some years. It’s always one of those things that sounds easier than it is. The old Wisca and the old supporters club worked well enough, the latter may still work well. I'm not sure if its still going? However it's an old way of doing things, requiring a lot of time to organise what is effectively a club within a club and in these busy times not many are as willing as they used to be and personally I don't blame them.

The solution we have come up with is a more simple but will hopefully just as effective a way to use the goodwill of our brilliant fan base to push the club further forward, both on and off the pitch.

This is how it idea stands at present, but certain aspects may change before it is launched.

Using the clubs social media we will launch something called the Trinity HUB or similar . Not sure when but it will be as soon as is practical.

All it consists of is an on-line form, a Database and a dedicated Facebook page.

The form is a questionnaire that asks you what skill sets or materials or ideas you can help the club with.

You will only be asked your name and e-mail. No phone numbers, no pestering, no guarantees, just the basics.

The form will then be published on an on-line database available only to Senior Trinity staff members.

Then as projects come to life those involved can look at the Database and see if any of those registered can help.

If so they will then be sent one e-mail and a follow up a few days later. If we receive no reply we know you are not interested and we won’t bother you again.

Should you be willing to help, a meeting or further correspondence will be organised and the rest will take its course.

The Facebook page will be used to publicise what the various individual have achieved and or contributed by way of recognition and to inform fans.

I promise you I will keep it up to date!

The hope is that the database will increase as time moves on as results are there for all to see.

It’s important but low key. It’s there to give those who fancy helping out the chance to do so through a clear pathway, rather than by word of mouth.

There is a bit more to it than I have stated but certain things are yet to be finalised so no point being too detailed for now. This is just a heads up that we are not ignoring fans concerns.

Just to add, what you offer can be anything from an hours labour to a major project, or some professional advice or materials or equipment you may be willing to donate. Even ideas, things the club should be looking into, almost anything to be honest. It’s not just about saving money, it’s also about engaging the fans and involving those who want to be involved.

The first phase of the redevelopment has been a gift, with the club only having to find a small amount of the approx eleven million. Future work will most likely be fully or near fully funded by the club, or by you in other words. The less of your money the club have to spend on capital projects the more they can spend on players. Let's face it, much as we want to see BV improved, what we really pay our ticket money for is what happens on the pitch - this will help in that aim.

icon_biggrin.gif The Facebook page is purely to look at, you don't do anything via it. It's up to you if you want to look at it - it will be as restricted as I dare to keep the troublemakers off. I may set up a web page later but tbh much as I like them they are not really. needed for this venture.

The actual mechanics of it will be run by the Database and the only contact will be via e-mail directly from the club, unless you give us permission to ring you directly. I repeat nothing happens via facebook. icon_thumb.gif

Sounds a good idea.

Do you know as yet when the Facebook page will go live.

In the meantime, I'll have a think as to what I can come up with

Not really, it's pretty much ready but I need approval from the club. Don't want to make promises we can't keep.

If it's any help I think it will be work details first. A lot has already been done by existing volunteers but once the builders move off site then we can really get cracking. No point doing stuff for them to mess up again because something else needed doing last minute. My guess is we will hit that point for the north end of the ground about end of March time. The plan for the west terrace tidy up hasn't yet been finalised as far as I'm aware.

I'll let you know ASAP.
