| Good value for it they were too.
Could easily have scored more to be fair.
Wouldn't read a great deal into it though, Hull KR did gave a lot of kids on show. One first glance I noticed there was no Coote, Lewis, Parcell, SKD, Hall, Minichello and Linnett.

| That's a good result for Fev. They were expecting a big following from Hull too so I bet it was a bit tense in the car park after the game.
A fair few 1st teamers in that HKR squad so they shouldn't really have been nilled. Shame that the two ex Wakey lads didn't turn out.

I agree not read too much into it but to get billed in a friendly is not the best start

The nilling is the key. You’d want to score just to prove your systems work.
That said I expect Fev to be the hardest of the three pre season games, they love beating us

| Fev will certainly be up for it next Sunday and, as always, will give it their all. Looking forward to it.

| I think we had a soft underbelly last year and last years friendly against Fev showed that. I listened to Tanginoa last week speaking about how training was an issue last year due to its lack of intensity etc. Hopefully we’re a different animal this year.

| seems like Fev picked up a few worrying injuries in the last two games... given they are only a week away from the first championship fixture of the season ,,, and I would hope we are beginning to ramp up intensity
it will be interesting to see if they play it safe or go all out in this game?

The only real injury of concern other than the two players who are out long-term was John Davies, whose hamstring is likely to keep him out for a while. Bussey rolled an ankle and Leilua has a sore calf so we'll have to wait and see if they play.

I hope Leilua is playing. Be a nice test for our lads.
That handoff he did on the Hull KR fullback was hilarious.

| Just what the doctor ordered ,a good tough game against quality opposition will set the lads up nicely for the campaign ahead .All well and good racking up cricket scores against much weaker opposition, but imo we need to be battle hardened as much as possible and hit the ground running in our first game of the season and give it to Les Cats with both barrels.I’m really hoping that a tough pre-season will stand us in good stead for the rigours to come and we keep in the battle for the full 80 ,if we can I feel we are a match for most and a mid table is achievable as long as Lady Luck shines on us with injuries.

TBH if they give us as good a game as Fax did I'll be delighted. I thought Fax were excellent, every bit as god as Fev looked, so those two combined will be good pre-season work out.
Think the HULL game will be mainly reserves but who knows.

Indeed, it probably didn't look good to some ie the giant ex-NRL player targeting the tiny young full back but it was his Samoan countryman Phoenix Laulu-Togogae and I think Joey's good friends with both him and his dad Quentin (QLT), they were having a good laugh about it together after the final whistle.
Joey looked some way off full fitness btw, think it's probably his sore calf that's responsible as he barely did more than jog when he made that interception, so we'll have to see if he plays or not on Sunday.
