Good to see a Wakey lad doing well.

More importantly, apparently he wants to come back to the UK.

This will take eyes away from Murphy, that is good news.

What's pink & hard first thing in the morning? The financial time crossword [url=http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/864/pinkhards.jpg/:39bjthd5][img:39bjthd5]http://img864.imageshack.us/img864/5724/pinkhards.jpg[/img:39bjthd5][/url:39bjthd5]:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_65068.jpg

I coached Dom as a 9/10 year old when he was playing up an age group year at Crigg in the U10's & 11's, always was an athletic lad, both his parents are athletic so the genetics have played their part, but I thought he looked pretty average in the Hudds academy, didn't really get much of a chance in their SL team. His level now is down to the coaching he's received in Aus. Good on him glad he's done so well and getting the attention he deserves.

It’s on the total RL site, might be pure speculation but it still takes eyes off Murphy.

Taken from Total RL. Doesn't mention him wanting to come back? Big good if he did as yes, he would all of a sudden become the hottest wing property around but unless he's homesick i reckon he's going to be earning some serious coin in the NRL for the next few years.

As many as six clubs are reportedly in the race to sign former Huddersfield Giants star Dom Young.
That comes following the Newcastle Knights winger’s heroics in England’s opening World Cup game against Samoa, with the 21-year-old scoring two fantastic tries and impressing throughout with his metre-eating runs out of defence.
Now, the Daily Telegraph is reporting that four Sydney clubs, the Knights and another unknown club are set to make an offer for the long-haired flyer.
That means Young will have at least six clubs going after him, with more potentially offered in joining.
Young has become one of the hottest prospects in rugby league following a stellar year in a struggling Newcastle side, and, he was rewarded with his good form with a place in Shaun Wane’s England squad for the World Cup.
The Knights have yet to make a formal offer which means that, because he is currently in the UK during the World Cup and will be for the next month or so, he is unlikely to sign any deal before November 1.
That would then mean that Young would become a free agent, with the Daily Telegraph reporting that Young’s management have already spoken to five clubs about a potential move.
The Newcastle flyer has scored 18 tries in 26 appearances for the Knights since moving ahead of the 2021 season.

It was just a general comment regarding the fact the he’s the new hot property, didn’t expect it to be forensically investigated, wished I hadn’t mentioned it now. Did state I was speculating.

He'd be a fool to come back now.
He's hot property in a league that can pay more, in a country with a better standard of living.
Come back in a few years maybe, but not now.

You'd think so, but sometimes players just miss home. I tend to agree though, if he's a hot property here then he will also be one their, but then they have a lot of similar players on the NRL books.

I coached Dom in his early time within Huddersfield Youth System, he was ALWAYS going to be something different and/or special.

He stood out not just for his size but for his ability and desire to learn. His athleticism was evident from the beginning. Even at U16 & Academy Rep level he was a standout.

2010-2013 Seasons, left during 2014 season played in our Ollies team that won U12 & 13's YARL Div 1 and Challenge Cups along with BARLA U12 & 13's Yorkshire cups, Alex was at Dewsbury Moor as Crigg didn't have a team at his age group or the year above, so he transferred to there so both Alex and Dom were playing in the correct age group. icon_thumb.gif
