Morning everyone,

I started a bit of a DVD collection during lockdown and I’ve built up a fairly decent folder of old games. My collection covers the summer era up until the present. However, it’s a bit thin from 1996-1999. I did manage to get some games from Micron but they have sent their records to the RFL.

If anyone happens to have any spare/unwanted games please message me. Particularly from 96-99. It’s nice to relive some old memories!

You’ll struggle for that era, we’re we ever even on telly? I’ll have look but YouTube is your best bet or try the Heritage guys.

Thanks Vastman. It is a struggle, and yeah I think it’s because we were rarely on TV. I did manage to get a few 96 and 98 games from Micron. I also got a few games from 96 from other club historians. Unfortunately I don’t think the Heritage guys have many. I’ve mainly managed to get material from Fev and Swinton fans. Fev have catalogued quite a lot of their games. It’s been a fun hobby chasing them but the 90s stuff is like goldust

I love watching stuff from the late 80’s, there is a lot of stuff on YouTube but i’d love to see that Wigan game from 88 again. Someone also posted on here that they had a season review for the 88/89 season, the team that wouldn’t die i think it was called, now that would be a great view!

Anybody else got any corkers in their loft? Make a change from fretting about next seasons signings lol.

There used to be a website called ‘Rugby League on DVD’ that had a a massive catalogue of games from all clubs, levels, internationals and so on. Not sure if it’s still active but if it’s not you might be able to find the guy who ran it.

Thanks Avenger, it’s now called Rugby League Replayed and I’ve cleared them out of Wakefield games . I thought I’d post on here just in case anyone bought matchday VHS/DVDs at the time. That’s where I’ve mostly got games from Fev/Swinton fans. I knew it was a long shot posting on here but you never know if you don’t ask

There was a video store on
Jacobs Well Lane (I think) that rented trinity match day videos during the 80s and 90s and it was possible to buy some videos… a friend had the Wally Lewis debut vs Hull that I watched several times…

So lots will still exist somewhere… good luck

I've just been and had a look and I've got a dozen DVD's for various games and Season Reviews from 2012-2017 but the only VHS I've got is "Mary Millington visits Leeds"
Any of those any good to you ??

It would be great if you could share that collection with Trinity TV so we can all watch them??

Hi PopTart, I’ve offered on a few occasions on the proviso they get them back to me but the club have never replied. I’m not very techy either as I’d set up a Google drive if I could and share them digitally.

Spook the store is long gone and effectively so is Jocobs Well lane. There weren’t many shops on it but the ones that were, were really useful.

There was a body panel shop on it and in 1988 he sold me two genuine new MGB wings for £12 each. Even then that was cheap but now I think they are about £400 a piece. Sorry a bit OT.
