| Other than I d have Henry Paul in for Neil Fox (who I never actually saw play) couldn’t argue with that ten, although David Fifita or Willie poaching might just have edged Trevor Skerret out purely for entertainment value.
Sadly we never seemed to be able to hang onto or keep most of the players fit for one reason or another.
Bill Ashurst for me scored the best try ever at Bellevue but sadly his knees were shot when he came to us.
Ray Price had been retired for two years and was I think about 36 when he played for us but still the best defensive forward I ve seen in the red white and blue.
David Solomona was I think the complete ball handling running forward his partnership with Sid domic was a joy to watch and it was a shame when he left us for Bradford.
In the 40 plus years I’ve been watching them sadly it’s the individual players and their brilliance that have kept me coming back rather than any sustained achievement by the club.
If this is Tom and Dave’s last season with us at the moment it’s hard to see where that individual spark is going to come from But I ve been saying that since I was a teenager lol

Danny Brough first time.
Nigel Wright, potentially as good as Toppo who was himself not a million miles behind Lewis.
I suppose it depends on your definition of talented. Personally of those I’ve seen I wouldn’t call either Price or Ellis talented in the conventional sense. Both those players could play that’s for certain but it wasn’t their skill sets that made them, it went far deeper than that.
Those two were warriors who allowed the players of genius to do thier stuff. One can’t exist without the other.

| Big Ali would get a spot for me, although we got him in the twilight of his career he was still our go to man and at times seemed unstoppable, a joy to watch.

| If I'm picking most talented rather than favourite player it kinda rules out the hard working and inspiring players like JD or Belly.
Mine would be
Wally Lewis
David Topliss
David Solomona
Steve Ella
Tom Johnstone
Sid Domic
Tim Smith
Henry Paul
Nigel Wright
Danny Brough
Ali, Mark Conway, James Leuluai and Keith Smith all unlucky not to make it.
I saw Neil play at the end of his career but can't say I saw him at the height of his powers.
If I put him in I ought to put Ian Brooke in for same reason.

Pretty impressive, I saw King Wally as a kid, I remember vaguely a game against Hull when Sterling was playing for them, that's my first memory of Belle Vue. Who I've seen, would have Henry Paul, Fifita, and maybe a weird one because it was in the lower league, but Brad Davis was fantastic to watch, and was great for us at that time.

| Difficult to argue with any of the choices. I’d be tempted to throw Andy Mason into the mix as well. For a long time he was our major attacking threat and the only one with pace that worried the opposition. To score over a hundred tries in what was some pretty ordinary teams at time is pretty good going.

Good call regarding Finn, possibly the most underrated player of all time.
Funny but on the TJ thread I was lamenting the mediocrity of Trinity through the years but I was wrong. Ten is not enough imo I could do twenty easy. I suppose it’s just that we never had enough at any one time.

| K Slater ,A Skene, K Smith .to the list W Poaching was the main reason we stayed in S L the first year Can not argue against any body list ,maybe one of two that would not be in my list .Guess it is down to how long you have watched Wakefield

| Steve ella, Wally Lewis, Ray price , Darren Fritz , Sid Domic , Ali lauiti’iti ,Henry Paul, Jason Demetriou , Sonny Whakarau ,David Solomona . Plenty of home grown players could have gone into this list ,but these players stood out for me over the years as they sent a buzz around the ground whenever they played . There are lots of players who have gone unnoticed, that gave their all for our club and have never got the recognition they deserved IMO .

| I thought Steve Ella was brilliant when watching him at Belle Vue as a teenager….but Dave Topliss was always my favourite Trinity player hence my profile picture.
