There may be troubled times ahead ? Yes, it seems there may be covid players down at each club & in the worst cases fixture pile up as a club if covid ravages them in a long run of several runs ! Clubs must complete fixtures or have points lost + a 48 mil Mark up.
This year a club may be relegated not for how they play but for circumstances beyond their control ?
I thought last year % s was stupid but the club's agreed ! SO. Stand by for grief coming to RL.

My understanding is the fine applies if you can’t provide absolute evidence that you couldn’t field a team. If you can no fine.

It's not beyond their control
1) they can protect their players better by following protocols
2) they can play the other players in the squad rather than chucking it in until their best players are available.

Like we did last year.
It can only be good for us.

They should all have reserves and an Academy to call upon.

Season 2020 Catalan only played 13 games because of covid Leigh went down that to me is a bloody disgraceful

Leigh went down in 2021 because they didn't win enough games

Unlike season 2021 when apart from Wigan and maybe us, played more games than the rest and most of them over here.

Was that a case of Catalan not playing games or their opposition refusing to travel to France.
Also, Leigh won a massive 2 games all season, are you suggesting that they should have remained in SL with a massive 4 points

It's unlikely there would be restrictions now. But I'm sure the criteria to travel could change. Like Vaxing or isolation periods.

Season 2020 Toronto went bust, nobody went down. Catalan played 13 and won 8 games, more than Huddersfield (7), Wakefield (5), Hull KR (3), Castleford (6), they would still have stayed up even if they had forfeited games.
Season 2021 Catalan played more (23 games) than both Saints and Warrington (2nd & 3rd) (both played 21) Leigh won 2 games

Team's forfeiting games is valid if they can't prove they've done everything possible to field a team, the difficulty is team's like Salford who usually have small squad and are without reserves and academy teams, they are likely to call games off quicker than others.
