| Seen a report on twitter that Tom has been stood down for 4 weeks due to repeated head injury/concussion.
While not great from a fan perspective it’s good to see the club looking after Toms welfare.

| We certainly don't want a repeat of the poor young lad from Leeds ???, sorry forgot his name. I know a player recently had to retire due to continued head trauma, though I think Tom has just been unlucky, fingers crossed.

I believe it’s now an RFL directive that a player has to stand down for 4 weeks after two failed HIA’s in a short period of time. It’s good to see them finally taking it seriously, Stevie Ward is a perfect example of why it has to be done. I also imagine the legal action that 40 former players are taking against the RFL may gave focussed a few minds.

| Perhaps if he wasn't doing more than his fair share of running the ball out of defence, he wouldn't get battered and injured so often.

Agreed he does but not the reason for the two HAI's he's had.

| Anybody know if Liam Kay is injured or just out of favor, he is a player who always gives 100 %, scores tries for fun, is the best defender of all our wingers and if fit I am gob smacked Senior gets in the side ahead of him.

Amazing how you seem to see a different player to almost everyone else. Kay has always been known as a poor defender and very poor under the bomb, you're right on the rest. Watch his first game for us against Catalan last year, he wasn't alone but his defending is non-existant.
He was injured last year but I think he's had a lot of Covid relayed lay offs hence he's not been available to train.

| To be fair Lee Kershaw is probably more suited to what we primarily ask our wingers to do.
At least one of those weeks is a CC weekend.

Agreed, sadly he is, Kershaw will run it up all day long and happily relieve the forwards of their duty. Seriously though, yeah he probably is.

Totally agree with this one. I would have used him last weekend too as we knew Catalans would mince us in the forwards. I think once Tupou is back we might have to look at Kershaw/Tupou/Arundel/Lyne as our back four for more games especially when we are light in the pack and coming up against a stronger set of forwards. I know Kershaw and Tupou have their weaknesses on the wing and Tupou is preferred at Centre but at least they could help our Full Back and forwards out on exit sets. They are less likely to be pushed back over their own line too meaning no repeat sets when we have ball in hand.
