| Just been watching preview of programme being shown tomorrow night about Rob. Absolutely heartbreaking to watch him and his young family coping with this horrendous disease. But my God what a brave man and what a hero. Wish him all the luck in the world and I think all rugby league related people admire him so much.

| It’s going to be very hard to watch!
It’s not rare to see sportsmen and women suffer from a debilitating condition of one form or other. it’s always difficult to marry the image of their suffering with the strong athletic competitor they were.
What’s bracing about Rob is the shocking speed with which MND has deteriorated his condition.
God bless him, his amazing wife and family
I’m sure every sports fan the world over will be wishing him well

It's frightening. Was it only January when he came on as a sub in the charity game at Headingley?
Anyway, the programme is now on tomorrow at 7pm due to government Covid updates.

Agreed Tel. Wouldn't wish this horrible disease on my worst enemy. I also saw the preview. To see his parents break down was heartbreaking and I would love to see the actual documentary, but I don't think I could bear to. You're a REAL HERO RB!!

| Incredibly admirable how he and his family are dealing with it. It is quite shocking how quick it’s taken hold.

Couldn't agree more.
The change from the fearless quality sportsman, what seems like just a few months ago, to a bloke who needs help with his speech and is physically half of what he was is just so bloody unfair.
It all seems worse because of the bloke that he is and always was. Always played the game with a smile on his face and had so much positivity about him.
Life really can be unfair at times.

I’m with you on that one RC, just even thinking about it is upsetting, if I do I’m afraid I will have to watch it on my own, but what a hero he is.

| Agree with all of the above.
Absolutely devastating what this terrible disease has done to Rob and also to fellow sufferers and the speed that it has its effect,
And yet, there he was on the preview, smiling away and enjoying the time with his family.
I have looked after several people with MND and I know that it will be a difficult watch tomorrow.
All the best to Rob and all his family.
Everyone's favourite Dirty Leeds player.

| Watched the preview, don't think I can watch the whole thing, it's too much.
The one thing I liked was the pains all those involved went to, to make it clear that this was about all the sufferers not just Rob who happens to be well known.
It's all too easy on these things to get drawn by the 'celebrity' tag when in fact these people already tend to have as much support as they will ever need. I really don't like those charities that are set up to help a single sufferer, much better that it goes into a big pot to support them all, each getting an equal share. Rob made it very clear that this documentary was about the disease not about him. His celebrity was only used as a platform.
As if I were not already impressed by the man and his family I certainly am now.
Sadly there will be no reprieve for Rob or judging by what we saw much time, I hope above all other things that its as quick and painless as it can possibly be, we all hope for that.
Thanks for the memories Rob, a big man in a small body.

I think I'll have to do the same BLM. It's too important to any RL, or indeed any other sportsman or fan, to view and then sit back and reflect. I thought the Don Fox documentary a while ago was touching but this is something else.

| Hard watching things like this but I think it'll truly compliment how strong Rob is as a person and hearing things like "thank god it's me and not the kids" only makes me respect him more.

Struggling here FC to see your point.
Rob did actually say that and was quoted saying it by Lindsey, his wife.
