It could be me having a glitchy time, but it looks like Mr Carter has deleted his twitter account - hope I am wrong.

It's crackers that honest, upstanding people are being silenced through bullying and nonsensical grandstanding by an agenda-fuelled noisy minority.

What happened to reasoned discussion, listening and persuasion?

Yes, it looks like he has. I always found him honest and informative, very sad.

A lot of people are leaving Twitter. Conservative people and I mean conservative by nature not party are joining Parler. Unfortunately in the same way twitter is infested with woke fanatics parler has a fair few red necks for want of a better description. You take your pick I suppose.

Sadly social media like twitter is on its way out imho, human beings simply can’t self regulate, especially those who consider themselves educated.

The only way to defeat social media especially open un moderated forums like twitter is to leave, I did.

It’s sad it really could be a great thing but now it’s utterly infested with vicious bullying trolls of all types. If MC has left it I’m delighted, he’s tried his best but why should he put up with some of the abuse he’s received. When your in a high place you expect some backlash but now unlike the old days it hits from all sides by faceless cowards who are often just hunting victims.

We saw it on here today with some folk suggesting MC had somehow forced player to not take the knee. It ludicrous ffs why would he, I’m sure his life would have been easier if they had prostrated themselves.

These are dark times.

Of course he may still be on it and it’s just a clich, and for his sake I do hope it’s as innocent as that.

I’m not a twitter user, I normally just read the clubs twitter page. Can anyone explain what’s happened. Is MC receiving abuse for something he’s posted, and if so, what was it? I met MC early days just after he’d taken over the club, I’d made a donation to the club when they were skint, and he always welcomed me ever since, wherever he sees me. I know he’s an honourable man, and I will back him to the hilt. Can’t imagine what he’s said to receive abuse.

The last thing I saw from him was him backing up Reece Lyne on the team’s stance yesterday.

I think he's had enough of the nonsense.

Yeah its one of them on twitter, because one faction is using the image of the players not kneeling for somewhat nefarious purposes, another faction is hurling abuse at the club for encouraging them. Total online nonsense, not surprised Carter has got fed up of it. Shame though.

Twitter is just a spreader of hate. I left it 6 months ago because I couldn't stand the nastiness and intolerance.The problem with all forums is they need moderation . The owners of Twitter don't want moderation as it costs the money . Pop Tart does a very difficult job on here for nothing.

It's a shame if Carter is getting grief on social media. It really isn't needed but unfortunately there is no check of intelligence or ethics when you buy a computer so it's a free for all.
Time to let him know what we think of him maybe to redress the balance.

I don't know him personally though have seen him do his job close at hand. I think he's one of the most important people we've ever had at Wakefield. He generally makes great and always good decisions in the clubs best interest.
He's well regarded in the rugby world, which, with no playing history to fall back on is quite an accolade.
I think the vast majority of Wakefield fans do appreciate him but unfortunately there are always going to be some who use anonymity to take a shot.
It's important to show that they are a small and unwanted group.

If MC has closed his twitter a/c based on some of the idiots that feel the need to have a go, then, good on him.
Without this guy, we wouldn't have a club, which tells us everything we need to know.

Social media, while at it's best is a marvelous thing to have, at it's worst, is a hot bed of vile insults and abuse.
It seems that the only way for people to put their point accross is either, over complimentary or just way over the top in the opposite direction and too many people just cant help themselves.

It's a shame that people cant moderate themselves but, they cant. He will be better off staying away.
