Not as good as his brother yet still managed a fantastic career. Without the innate skill of Bobby yet for me just as useful and far more charismatic.
Slightly before my time but how much more personality did the players of the sixties and seventies have compared to the clones we get today. The last one for me was Gasgoine a player who was willing to express himself off field and no matter how bad that was at times I’m convinced that’s what allowed him to do it on field.
As an opposition fan Jackie would drive you mad but deep down you were jealous that he wasn’t on your team, always the mark of a great player.

Great player for both Leeds and England.
Although he himself says he wasn't as skillful as his brother, I would say he just had skills in a different position.
He clearly had tactical skills too being a successful international coach.
My best memory of him though, are the Sunday morning TV football skills sessions he did with kids..... And when one of the smacked the ball in his important bits. TV viewers heard words they shouldn't that day.

I like the story about him taking the northern Ireland team into a pub and saying the drinks are on me then paying by cheque nowing full well it would never be cashed, it ended up in a frame behind the bar.

Remember him grabbing Gary Sprake by the throat at a charity darts match at a pub in Leeds, cherry tree Ithink it was called back in the early 70s. Sprake being such an embarrassment as per.
