| Thought Chester got the selection wrong Friday dropping Kopi and j. Wood v strange, J.Wood played and tackled great against Salford. Would also drop Ashurst shocking attempts of tackling on Fonua the first half. Would drop him next week Tanginoa back to 2nd row James Clare pushed Ashurst off the week before needs to sort it out. Atkins been playing v well Lynn needs to do more for me in attack. Crowther hows he in the team. If Chester things Tanginoa is a prop I'm a Dutch man. We are nullifying his threat each week.

| Only thing I agree on is tanginoa is not a prop and need him in second row to make the impact .
Fonua had 3 men around him when he scored I think so to pick out ashurst is unfair .Its a long season and Chester has the ability to chop and change players to suit the specific teams he is facing ,I’m sure everyone who’s fit will get plenty of game time this season. Wasn’t a bad call at team selection we were only the width of the posts from coming away with a win.

Hi...Kees Van Der Stanley...welcome to the forum
Only jesting pal....a couple of valid points there, mate...as I've previously stated I think Josh Wood has been one of our better players since his arrival, so I'm guessing he either picked up a knock at Salford or was just rested and Koppy has been going well too, but Ashurst has also gone very well for me and tackling Fonua must be like trying to tackle Hurrell...they are both cannonballs and very difficult to stop !!
I agree re Tanginoa though but he did score at Salford, don't forget !!

| Thanks for a adult like reply mate.
There were 2 around Fonua and ashurst has a 2nd rower went in far too soft and was swatted like a fly. Not heard any knocks to the 2.
I think George King will become a good player for us but shouldn't have played instead of Kopi.
We were unlucky Friday and it hert but I have every right to question the selection yet again we had a spell where our discipline was awful and we got blown away in 20 mins. I've seen us win twice since may 25th that is appalling. Worked last week against Salford & missed the wire game lol.

| Agree about Tanginoa but with Arona now back and Fifita due back I’m sure he’ll return to the second row!
On Ashurst...he was defending a Hull right edge attack of Fonua, Griffin and M’au...probably as formidable a right edge as there is and he made 37 tackles and missed a few...surely we can let that off against such quality opposition? On the try scoring front we came out on top that side anyway!
And on team selection...we came within a whisker of beating one of the best teams in the comp still with a few key players missing...Koppy might just be one of those who struggles these days with short turnarounds being a big lad and 33 years old...

I thought Josh Wood was poor against Salford.

| Anyone with half a brain cell knows why Tanginoa has been used as a battering ram at prop since week 1 and dropping Ashurst is probably the dumbest comment I’ve read on here for a while.
For me Tupou is wasted on the wing, leave him and Johnstone together it’s a lethal combination. Atkins played well but Tupou can create more space for our wonder kid on the wing..
Walker, created a great try for Atkins with a wonderful pass but for me was very ordinary. Passing too early and not drawing defenders in. I know it’s early days but I’m not convinced.

Agree re tanginoa and ashurst, don't agree about the centres though. Atkins been great there for me, TJ has scored 4 in his last 3, tupou scored off an outrageous lyne pass.
Walkers been ok,shown flashes of quality but not really settled yet. Plenty of potential but when Rockies back he's competing with him and Max and atm you have to fancy the other 2

| Which game this season was described as Tanginoa most productive, Salford away when he was playing in the second row rather than prop.

Agree with all that mate....I get the feeling that Walker hasn't fully settled in yet as he seems a bit apprehensive at times, but that off-load to Atkins was sublime, so there is definitely more to come from him.

| That’s harsh on Crowther. He’s not a hooker, but I thought he was outstanding when he came back on at loose. I always expect him to be the one dropped when the big names come back, but there can’t be many players who get through the work he does. Keeps improving every year for me.
