Was told last night that BJB has been advised to hang his boots up as well. It’s a big shame but moving on will the insurance pay these contacts off and will we use the money elsewhere.

| Good point, SC....Cas did it with Gale and Wire also did it with Kevin Brown, so surely there's no reason why we can't ???

Cas and Warrington still had to pay them though, they just didn’t count against the cap. Assuming we’re not spending up to it, it won’t make much difference to us, it just depends on whether we can afford to bring someone else in.

Thanks for the memory's Danny wached Wakefield for over 60 years and In your prime you up there with the best scrum halfs I have seen .The try 90yd try you scored against Leeds is one of the best I have seen down at Bell view . All the best your a legend

Awful way to end a great career.
we WILL need a replacement! IMO Danny was the only player we had to unlock defences, unless the Miller/Hampshire partnership is given a chance (and works!)

The half back partnership must be the club's priority if thats a combination of what we have now or entering the market to bring someone in. Brought will have a lengthy lay off and i would think find it difficult to return.

Gales injury was before he played a game last season and thats the reason Cas could excempt him from their cap. Once you've played a game its too late although it does seem a bit unfair.

Bit ?????...it seems a LOT unfair !!
Whilst I'm glad that Broughy's career hasn't fizzled out in unfortunate circumstances, he is clearly going to be out for a lengthy spell which doesn't help either him or the club, but if BJB is out for the season, then at least we could de-register him knowing that he will be suitably recompensed by the RFL.
