| Think his best days are behind him TBH, but he did run rings round us at magic earlier this year.
Would rather gave gone for a younger half, but if he's committed, and happy to be not guaranteed a spot every week, without throwing the teddy out of the pram, then why not.
What I would do is only sign him up for a year at this stage

| If the coaching staff want him & are willing to take on his baggage & risk unsettling the squad, then that should be good enough for all of us.
We’ve come up short in a number of games over the last 2 seasons & maybe they reckon his nous would be worth the gamble & hopefully turn those close losses into wins & league points which would propel us into the holy grail of a top 4 finish.
With our weak position stadium wise, would a short term fix signing buy us some time?

| Really not sure where i stand on this. On one hand i cant really stand the guy and cant count the amount of times i have laughed when he has one of his on field strops.
On the other hand, there is no doubting is ability, on his day he can destroy any team and he has the attributes we have missed for years.
Short term...do the positives outway the negatives? Is the rumour even true? Time will tell but i have every faith the CC and MC will do what is best for the club.

I heard the same Sunday evening, and on a two year deal. Seems a bit unlikely to me,
given he is 36, in January 2019.

he didn't leave a good impression on me when he came to Stanley to train the kids turned up late with his little kid in tow, then tried training while kiddy watching, after training I'd thought he'd then spend a bit of time talking to the lads but ended up standing at the slot machine supping a few pints before buggering off

| Would be an awesome signing for us all be it a year or two max
No one has a better kicking game in SL than danny
Personally I feel his kicking game alone will take us to the next level
If this is true I'm very happy

| His kicking game could, the rest of his game not so much and could detract from the cohesion the squad seems to have developed recently.
The Farts have hardly been competing at the top over the past three seasons with a similar standard of team so why would his inclusion suddenly propel Trinity into the top 4?

That's not a bad return from him based on previous form.
We're certainly trying to get him, either that or there's some serious porkies coming from within the camp.

| I can see why Wakefield are interested.... I do feel that this year with a bit more experience they'd have got over the line in a few of the tight games.
That said, would brough have got you into the position to be IN those tight games??? He's been a bit of a liability this year, but I guess we'll never know.
I think it boils down to what he would add to Wakefield short term....
I feel like they've invested a lot of time on and off the field into Hampshire and to then replace him with a 36 year old seems a backward step as there's no doubt he's passed his best.
I know a few will immediately assume I'm biased against him but that would be incorrect - he gave as much to my club as he did to any. Dropping into the second tier with cas was incredible and he almost single handedly got cas back up..... I would wish him all the best whatever he does.
But I do feel like Wakefield are a club building for the future and I'm not really sure where he fits in with that.
How would you guys feel if you could pick between, say.... Brough as your 7 on a one year deal or Hampshire signed as your 7 on a 4 year deal?
