Hope the mods are ok with this...
Most of you will have seen this elsewhere, but my son has applied for and brought the UKs largest grass roots music festival to Wakefield for Sunday 21st October.
It takes place over 5 venues, over a full day, with 30+ bands and costs just £8, EVERY PENNY of which goes to Charity - partly because the bands are playing for free and partly because of sponsorship already raised!
From metal to indie to reggae to spoken word, there is something for most pallets across Black Mass, Warehouse 23, the Art House, Now Serving and the Hop. Get a wrist band and wander around to suit your mood, anjoy a beer and some great bands, local and more.
Headliners the VirginMarys bring power and energy, but if you prefer a smoother rhythm, try Rum Riddimz on Now Serving, there is plenty of diversity and it’s all in the one price!
It’s the off season, and it’s easy for all of us to diss Wakey, but here is someone doing a shed load of work to bring a great event to Wakefield.
Your £8 can be put to really good use!
Details and tickets are available from Skiddle or from Wegottickets.
Thank you, and I hope a few of you will make the most of this and have a great day!
