| Just been browsing other forums seems Danny boy has told his team mates We have offered him A 2 year deal
Shudder fans seem more than happy to let him go
I hope this is just mischievous nonsense

IF Hampshire doesnt reach agreement with the club (and most of us hope he will) we have to find a decent SH from elsewhere.
Brough is getting towards the end of his career but, wouldn't be the worst option for us.

| Weve already taken a 33 year old from them whose career is winding down.

And generally he's been superb and I thing both Chester and Carter would do exactly the same again, if the chance came.

| Most Shudds fans agree he has been great for them, however his petulance has cost them by his resulting suspensions
Would he upset what appears to be a settled camp

| Would be all for it. The best kicking game in Superleague.Would be the catalyst needed to really set our three quarters ‘ on fire ‘.
Create openings for likes of Ashurst and Batchelor.
What’s the problem in having three good halves. Would think Hampshire and Miller could both develop further with Broughy around.

| Dream on. I'd be very surprised if he leaves the Giants. He's been outstanding in the recent run of games (11 wins out of 12). Woolford is the man that matters and he's a big fan of his.

Is he? Then why are they trying to convince Hastings to stay in SL beyond this season? After also signing Tom Holmes on a 3 year deal.
The one year deal offered to DB was by Thewlis.
I would not be against the signing of Broughy, but I would hope that we would not be so silly as to rely upon a player with such a poor disciplinary record... For me the contract would have to reflect that and in turn allow us to have another halfback in the side (Maybe Hampshire).
People can say what they want about the Grix signing but he has been great over the past few seasons and has been at the heart of a lot of the good things that this team have achieved.

I'd only presume the Tom Holmes deal was done thinking more of the long term, Brough surely can't play more than 1 more season?
I would also agree with HV on Brough, I don't think he has played any better than slightly average... I think the pack are very much leading the way however I will say his game has improved (like the whole Huddersfield outfits) in the second half of the season. If stats are anything to go on though, he's 27th on try assists!

| If there's any truth in it, Chester played with him at Hull. He'll know the man better than any of us, and will be a better judge.

| I reckon we’d have been about 8 points better off this season with Brough in the team.
