| Firstly what a great game yesterday, exciting finish, top class opposition and some excellent rugby. I thought Warrington were brilliant in the first 30, they beat us in every aspect of the game, second half we showed some bottle, skill and effort and more than matched Warrington blow for blow.
Yes Warrington were excellent especially in the first 25 minutes but some of our selection decisions cost us dearly. Paulie is quite simply not a second row, yet again our coaches and ultimately it must be Chesters decision decide to play him in the second row. He has shown time and again that defending out wide is beyond him, it is a tough job, they are lots of decisions to be made, lead runners, players out the back, lots of player movement etc etc, he is simply not built for the second row. Warrington exploited him big time, lost count of the missed tackles. I would have Paulie in the side, at least whilst Huby is out, but play him off the bench at prob, he looks good running running one out, he draws in defenders and he can be a handful. He defended close to the ruck against Wigan he ran at first receiver and looked a player, likewise during his second spell on the field yesterday he looked good, he is exposed when the coach decide to make him defend out wide, we cannot afford to have Gilmore, Mellor and Hanbury targeting our right hand side that has Paulie in it next Sunday. We have some excellent defenders in Ashurst, Kirmond, Horo who have the skill set to defend in the second row add Randell and Arona and we take some breaking down. We should have started yesterday with Ashurst and Kirmond in second row, Arona at 13, England and Hurst starting props with a bench of Fififta, Paulie, Horo and Wood
Big Dave is better coming on from the bench, that is when he has is best matches for us.
Please can we also learn from Warringtons professionalism re taking the two. Finally we would have won if Anakin was playing.

| We clearly shouldnt have started with Pauli & Horo as they were both clearly unable to cope with the intensity of the early part of the game where Warrington were clearly dominant.
Not quite sure about Pauli, I think he may still come good if used right, Horo is quickly running out of chances to impress - we have other options equally as good, if not better.

| Not for one minute am I suggesting Chester out, I am pointing out my surprise with the continued experiment of PP defending in second row. I am hoping that Chester who I think is an excellent coach for Trinity should just stop it

| I'm not one to point the blame finger. It's much easier to decide in hindsight.
Saying that I agree completely with your pack summary.

PP is most definitely a SR, far more so than a prop. Funny how I tend to trust Chester’s opinion over your, what coaching level are you at?
If there was a mistake it was starting with PP as he seems to look better when coming on later.

| I have that highly regarded armchair coaching certificate with honors from the University of Lagos, so stick that in your pipe and smoke it . PP cannot defend when positioned three in ie winger, centre , second row, its too much for him.

| I think that's fair Belly they're too quick for him however does that not work both ways? Given he's 3 times the size of the opposing SR.

| For me it should have been the same team as the Wigan game and maybe tinker with the bench if you want to accommodate Horro

| I have to agree a bit with both points.
I think as a runner he is a much better SR.
But as a defender he isn't as good and needs to train harder on that if he is going to defend out wide. I'd rather start with two standard SR and bring him on for impact in SR.
