I see Child running line on Sunday no forward passes then when Leeds attacking . Can’t believe out of 30 games he’s reffed us (since 2011) we have only won 5 times says it all for me

To be fair, if they stop the game for every Leeds forward pass we'll be there till midnight.

TBF to Leeds the amount of forward passes has decreased since Webb and Sinfield left.

tbf, since 2011, there may be quite a few of those games that we'd have lost no matter who was reffing.
That said, I think we've had the thin end of the wedge just recently.
It would be interesting to know the win/loss ratio with Child reffing from 2016 to present

well, I looked up 2017 to present

Kendall - 12 games, 6 wins 6 losses
Child - 6 games, 2 wins 4 losses
Bentham - 4 games, 2 wins 2 losses
Hicks - 4 games, 4 wins
Thaler - 3 games, 1 win 2 losses
Hewer - 3 games, 3 wins
Campbell - 2 wins
Grant - 1 loss
Moore - 1 loss

To be fair he’s got a reputation as a home referee. Hope he keeps up the reputation.

I used to blame the ref when I was about 16,now I look a little deeper.
A few seasons ago Clawson was getting the blame for our lack of fitness but it's all gone quiet on that front now.
Maybe instead of laying on in the tackle we should have belief that the rest of the team will be in position and force the play?
After all, that's what refs are looking for.

I'm ok with Kendall.

It's almost as if the conspiracy theories about certain refs don't have any substance behind them...

Personally, I think Mr Child is a pedant for every team, and like all refs, sometimes inconsistent; and as VR and multiple HD replays often shows the TV viewer, a lot of the time they are unsighted and making a best guess - particularly around loose carry vs ball steals and various ruck infringements. So until we get a bigger crop of good quality refs allowing 2 on the field, and the touchies do a proper job, we're left with one man trying to oversee what is probably the fastest and most brutal team sport in the world - which is a thankless job, and one of which our expectations of perfection are totally unreasonable.

Last year I would have said this as well even though we did win a few with him reffing. But this year I know we're only 8 games in but I have been more impressed with Kendall apart from the Wigan game when he missed a few forward passes. Saying that the linesmen should be helping more so for me Kendall and Hicks stand out atm.

So what about in the Cas game when they went to the screen for the Webster incident where he played at the ball? He clearly does, it was sent to the screen to review and he still gave it as a Cas ball?

He went to the screen because he wasn't sure, it was Bentham that gave it to Cas.

Mind blowing how it went through all that and it was still given incorrectly...
