| On the Cas forum one poster is stating that getting shot of Moore for McShane is the best swap they have ever done and of course he's probably right.
However isn't it odd how some players can be both hero and reptiles. Not just in RL but in all sports, politics and entertainment. You love what they do even if you hate what they are.
Isn't Moore just one such player x 10. I firmly believe that apart from scoring the try that sealed the MPG he was very instumental in our rise in 2016, possibly even the main reason. When he was on we played and we played brilliantly.
Even more of an enigma was his behaviour at the club pre-prison event. To me he seemed to be well liked by his fellow players and seemed to recipricate. Added to that he wasn't involved in either the Smith/Locke or the Heath Common inident as far as I recall but I may be wrong.
Whilst with us he seemeed at least looking from the outside to have behaved quite well.
So it's hard to reconcile that with the animal on display on those videos though all but a few people accept them as proof positive that the man is a huge menace.
There is no moral to this, RL is just a reflection of society and it takes all sorts. This blanket description of RL players as noble warriors is just as pathetic and deluded as claiming all nurses are angels when some are on fact dreadfull people.
Thankfully they are quite rare as they are in RL these days. However it remains a shame when in both cases they probably have the ability but somehow they have become corrupted.
Best way to veiw Moore and similar players is I suppose this - thanks for the memories, now bog off and take your punishment like a real man.

| I think at the time of the swap the deal suited both clubs very well. The swap was welcomed by most if not all Trinity fans. McShane wasn't up for a fight and, perhaps because of his psyche, Moore was. Moore held the position long enough for him to be no longer essential. McShane looks OK in a winning team, as Cas have been recently.

| Cant really argue with the sentiments of the Cas fan, in that they (Cas) did well to offload Moore and pick up McShane.
One of them is still playing and the other is unlikely to play SL again.
As a player, Moore did very well for us and he certainly stuck in hand up in the battle for survival and possibly, without him on board, we would have been relegated and who knows what else and there was of course the "endless" ban after the infamous game at Widnes, they will probably still be increasing that, it seemed to increase every week.
Having said all that, the arrest and what went on with the police is just crazy and I'm pleased that Wakefield got rid as well.

| Whatever caused his rage issues he has them.
As a player I was more than happy with him. Maybe Smith was a good coach for him as he was very much a sergeant major type.
He deserves what he got and more probably but it is a sad story when you can see what the possibilities were for him.

| Will McShane be up for the bottom four battle or will he leave the Cas sinking ship. Time will tell?

McShane is a fine weather sailor and had very few options when he ended up at Wakefield. At Cas he's ended up at the right place at the right time but you certainly wouldn't want him alongside you in the trenches. Cas just wanted shut of Moore at the time so were happy to take a poor performing McShane.
I thought Scruton was of similar ilk.

| I think far less of McShane than I do of Scott Moore on the rugby field. Describing McShane as 'fine weather sailor' is somewhat more courteous than anything I have to say on his time with Wakefield. I find it absolutely laughable that some Cas fans think he's an international standard hooker, he must be 6th/7th on the England list.

| I think that the move suited both clubs, and both players at that time.
Hats off to the club, the way they dealt with the situation at the time, with Scott Moore.
Moore did look good for us, and we looked better as a team with in it during 2016.
We have though since moved on, and Wood is a more than adequate replacement, as will Randell when he is back
