| What do we reckon? increase number of SL teams from next season? We need that community stadium built and we'll be ok.

| Something that offers clubs stability without shutting out any clubs who want to play at the top table.

| I'm happy with what we have.
The main problem with SL is that we have some great ideas and then panic and change them before it has chance to work.

| The big issue here is how to and whether to accommodate the overseas expansion clubs.
In the next few years there will be Toronto and Toulouse wanting a place in SL and possibly a couple more North American clubs not too far down the line.
There really does need some serious thought on just what the sport wants from ESL.
Although the "glamour" attached to having Toronto and maybe New York in the competition will be a major draw to those in charge.
Should clubs on the other side of "the pond" really be competing in SL ?
Back in the UK, there is only possibly Leigh and maybe Bradford (assuming they can re build effectively), that can come close to competing at SL level.
Fev, for all their endeavour and desire to make it back into the top flight, will only ever be relegation fodder as they just dont have the fan base to sustain a spot in SL.
The big question therefore is whether to continue with promotion and relegation, which will see the same 3/4 clubs changing places at different times or, do we revert to a "franchise" system.
Trinity, without a new stadium are massively vulnerable and perhaps we should be happy that Widnes dont seem to be making too much progress in SL and Salford (without Koucash) look to be in potential danger.
Despite all the razzmatazz of Super League, the game is just not moving forwards as it is and as a sport, we are struggling to attract greater numbers to support the "greatest game".
IF those in charge are hell bent on having half of the comp based overseas (Catalan, Toulouse, Toronto, new York etc) it could destroy the sport.

| Surely we don't have an option over whether to accommodate expansion into the Americas and so we must embrace the opportunity. If we are coming to the point where there are a few French teams able to achieve the right standard and we have teams from US & Canada and possibly also Dublin plus a London and Midlands club then the way forward must be to split Superleague into European (ESL) and Northern hemisphere (NSL). European teams will qualify for both SL's so there will be space to accommodate all who wish to be involved by setting the league sizes accordingly. The Superleague champions would be the winners of ESL v NSL.
The World Cup has also shown us the strength of the nations surrounding Australia so why not expand the theory and have Oceania (OSL) consisting of nations and clubs from New Zealand, PNG and the islands while the NRL continues as it is without the Warriors. The WCC would then be a play off between the 4 winners worldwide.
All it takes is a little determination and a lot of money.

| The "new SL structure" is likely to be about how the game's management is structured, rather than about how the leagues are made up.

| Maybe the extra fixture at magic weekend is a hint.
Agree on increasing number of teams, but not the teams involved in this fixture.

Agree. To make the move to 14 teams would potentially need extra funding from SKY and that isn't up for negotiation for another few years. That is unless they renegotiate the amount they pay to allow 14 teams to get paid the same, which would be what under £4m. It all depends on how much value SKY/RFL see in having those extra sides. That extra game for Magic does make you wonder otherwise though. They may be testing the water to see how well a Toronto v Toulouse game would be received. That'll put a few noses out of joint from the rest of Championship sides I bet.

Lets hope it's either the 1st or last game of the day. We can all show them what we think by giving the game a miss.
