| Good news on the stadium but just wondering about the council U turn on finances and the way Mr. Box has miraculously sorted it all out is there a local election coming up by any chance?

| Apparently not, but I must agree, it all seems far too convenient. If someone had told me this news was coming I'd have expected it all to come after a lengthy court case.
Yorkcourt only have to find another company to build another Newcold size build.
Trinity and the council need to find £2M then Yorkcourt have to build a £13M stadium. All this sorted from behind closed doors and all within a fortnight of The Daily Star running a feature on our plight.
I feel there's gonna be a real good slap in the face coming in the next couple of months sadly. Probably when the trust get the offer on paper.

| Do we honestly believe that Yorkcourt have any intention of ever reaching the 60,000 square metres ???
Call me Mr Cynical but with all these closed-door meetings that have been going on between the Council and Yorkcourt, and we are talking politics here, then how's this for an idea....as Yorkcourt don't have the inclination or funding to actually build a stadium and as our beloved Mr Box was just about to get a bloody nose, then incentives would be offered to potential clients possibly wanting to move on to the Newmarket site to look elsewhere (Castleford perhaps ???).
In the mean-time they both agree to include the Newcold development in the 60,000 square metres, so that Box can proclaim to us adoring minions what a marvellous deal he has negotiated with the developer, knowing full-well that Yorkcourt will never attain the remaining meterage required to trigger the stadium build. Then come December when the current S106 expires (?), Yorkcourt walk away and Box is left proclaiming that he did his best and it is now no longer his fault

This wouldn't surprise me.

Let's say Yorcourt reach 46,000sqm through the Newcold buildings, what if the club contacted Yorkcourt and asked them to develop a 14 ,001sqm building.
Surely that would be cheaper than buying Belle Vue and it would force Yorkcourt to either build the stadium or it would expose them as frauds.

Surely they'd have to justify that!
