I know some on here do like to offer excuses for Websters coaching record whilst at this club, me I'm not sure but his record does seem to speak for itself...

Two teams, to two finals in two consecutive seasons - impressive.

Not sure his coaching is bad but he's not a leader of men imo. People just didn't respect him and did their own thing. He seems to get good results with academy aged players maybe that's his level, nothing wrong with that.

Pretty much it. He lost it for me when he threw the towel in after four games.

Technically he may have been right but you don't ever say it. One thing was for certain, the minute he said it the players were going to stop playing for certain, where as up to that point it was only a maybe.

The whole point of being a leader is to convince people to believe they are better than they actually are or at least be as good as they can be rather than give them the excuse to be the very worst example of themselves - when you add on the fact that RL though a sport is also an entertainment then jeez!

And he didn't ask for this gig. He's Hull Academy coach which I think is a good level for him.
Rovers should have got their man earlier.

If he didn't ask for it, he could certainly have refused it. Had a nice role heading the joint academy and chose to leave to take this role up

Certainly appeared to be a good assistant coach for us, maybe that's what he is more suited to? I also thought the same about Tony Smith when we promoted him to head coach.

I think he was always going to go back to run the Hull academy, only took over Hull KR until the end of the season when they could get Sheens in. I expect him to do a good job for that academy setup.

I'm not a Webster fan man management terrible when speaking to him he came across as cocky his record is woeful. Sent Kr down like it or not. Kr would be ok if Chester was there.

How different people's views on a person can differ, a bit like on here. I found JW a good man to talk to and gave his all to succeed, but sadly didn't work out for him for one thing or another. There are are lots that go on behind the scenes that you don't hear or see. I don't slag coaches or players off so I hope JW finds work sooner than later.

Yes. I've got to say, although it hasn't worked out for him in the Head Coaching department, I'd never put him down as cocky at all. in fact the opposite.

Has NGB4C forgotten last season? Webster definitely did not sound cocky then.
