| I've read many of the popular press reports about yesterday's match today.
Credit to most of the reports. They didn't slam the team or belittle them like I thought they would, and surprisingly several papers actually referred to our major injury problems. Two reports that I read even stated that Trin had twelve players missing.
The Press were also very complimentary about the Wakefield supporters; particularly how they remained in the ground to applaud both teams.
Wonder what the mob at SKY would have had to say if they had televised the game.

That's 2 lots of good "press" recently.
A letter in the Express complimenting the fans in Perpignan for their respect shown to the Catalan club and of course the shocking events in Nice, while Trinity were over there.
We do have a few idiots (as do all clubs) but, the vast, vast majority are a credit to the club and the City.

I have followed all sports, football, union and league and on Saturday I sat with my partner on one of the side stands. What amazed me and I have never seen it before was as trinity began to lose and the lead was opening up in the beginning of the 2nd half, instead of the fans becoming negative and dejected, as a lot do on the wrong end of a whipping naturally looking for somebody to blame, THEY DIDN'T, quite the opposite, they became more positive, more vocal, by far out sang the opposition. At the final whistle, warrington gave their players a well deserved ovation but it was no where as good as the ovation the wakefield team received even though they had just lost heavily. It was something to see. I don't think the players were expecting such a rapturous ovation and I think they were genuinely surprised. Even the oppossition players, sandow, westwood, clarke and smith applauded the wakefield support. As I left the ground, I remember thinking, it didn't feel like we had lost. I had a great day and was full of pride for my team, my club and my fellow supporters.

I was gutted of course but it was eased by the pride in our support and the link I felt between fans and players

| Absolutely agree. Im very grateful that the playing squad have given us a great season, with a great day out at the semi final. Ok we lost, heavily, but that was only to be expected with the team we were abl;e to put out. I would have liked to have been able to put out our best squad, but that unlikely at this stage of the season.
The pride from the players in the semi was excellent, and was matched by the response from the fans when it became clear we were in for a pasting.
A great day out, non the less.
