In today's t&a, article saying that John Kear is bringing Chris Ulugia and Keegan Hirst with him to Wakey next season. Both very good players imo. I didn't want us to release Ulugia, and Keegan Hirst is a huge prop who is too good for the championship.

I hope that the Hirst rumour is not true. The guy has the size but doesn't use it and his handling is poor. This is based on seeing him a few times whilst he was a fev.

Glad to hear he's improved then. A Bulls fan was raving about him the other week saying he ripped them to shreds!
Kear has a good record of sounding out championship players or players that have lost their way....look at Bibey, Moore & Wilkes for example. |

So assuming this info is accurate, we're looking to bring in a centre/winger and a prop, can we read anything into this? Are these two positions the ones currently occupied by players who have signed elsewhere for next season?

Keegan Hirst deserves a shot at SL based on his performances over the last couple of years, where he has in my opinion been in the top 2 or 3 props in the Championship.
Believe Tim Sheens was very keen on taking him to Salford this year but something happened that resulted in it falling through?
Late 20's now. Absolute prime for a prop forward. Would be happy with that.

Keegan will thrive in the superleague about 5 yrs ago was watching batley and they had 2 giants up front in him and walmsley . St Helens took a gamble on 1 and look at him now the other went to fev and it didn't quite work out but imagine him in a full time environment with better players around him
