| I've just watched Kris Radlinski on Wigan TV telling the Pie fans about the trials and tribulations of Wigan's squad.
He talks at length about the virus that's swept through their camp and explains that a few of the Wigan team from yesterday played despite suffering from the virus that's laid low their squad and back room staff.
My question is this,
Should Wigan have played players who were still suffering from a virus?
What if we at Wakefield now have that same virus sweep through our squad, derailing our current form and destroying our chances of a top 8 spot.
Surely Wigan are culpable if they pass on the virus to another club?

| What should they have done? Asked Wakefield to rearrange the game? I doubt if RFL would have just given the game to wakey

I dunno!
That's why there's a question mark in my opening post

| The way the Wigun players gave the ball away every time Wakefield players went to tackle them lead me to believe it was that where the trots came from and not any virus.
Nice bit of propaganda from Radlinski though, he's certainly convinced most of their gullible fans after the injuries excuse failed to convince most people.

IF it was genuine, 10 players injured, a virus decimating the squad, as you say a chance that the virus could spread, then why didn't Wigan get sick notes for each and every player and ask for a postponement?

| But then it would be an extra fixture to squeeze in for us later on. If one team can't raise a team in amateur game isn't it forfeited?

| Taking everything into account...10 first teamers out...virus through the camp...I tip my hat to Wigan and Shaun Wane, a fantastic performance from them in those circumstances to keep the score to 62-0..

Wigan had eight in a row

But that would have cost Wakefield around £100K.
Here's the interview btw.

| Sick of the pie eaters excuses to be honest. Take it on the chin...your weakened Wigan team were pummelled end of..they have a big SL squad and I don't believe the extent of the virus excuse.
Trinity were smashed at Wigan a couple of years ago when we struggled because of injuries to put out a team and had second rowers playing at prop etc...can't remember loads of press interviews by the club at the end of that?

| Oh boo hoo.
How dare we beat them.
Maybe Farrell should have thought about not trying to injure a player so he'd have been available too.

Have they printed that out on posters around Cas for next week? Big bold letters on the front of the c&p express? Just so you know, Cas get the message that Wigan have injuries?
