| Leeds' crisis, Huddersfield at the bottom, Bradfords meltdown. Years of abuse from their fans and I have to admit I'm loving their current predicaments

| Leeds are paying the price for not replacing 3 excellent team members and if you take Aiton in to account 4. They are starting to look very ordinary and the players they have signed not the typical Leeds type player. They have money to spend and if involved in the middle eights can afford to spend on either short or long term replacements. Huddersfield on the other hand just look a bog average team and I suspect something's not right behind the scene s. The middle eights are calling but would you expect either to be involved in the M P G.

| I expect Leeds to be mediocre all season, they'll leave Mcdermot in too long.
I expect Shudds to sack Anderson, dump Brough, do a Wakey with their new coach and finish 8th.
Dunno about Bradford, the triple must surely involve Cas hitting some kind of impasse...

| Would also like to say to the people who said after last year, it would be better to drop into the Championship to re group, look what is happening at Bradford, with all their 'fan base' and structure.
Once your out, if you don't get back first time, you are done.
So no matter how bleak the picture looks, you're better off in SL.

| Agree with the op.
Years of gloating and boasting from the fans of these clubs and it's interesting to see how they cope with their respective fete's.
Of course Leeds will open their cheque book if their mickey poor form continues but Huddersfield may be a different proposition.
Brough looks very unhappy on the field at the moment and whilst you can understand that he isn't happy losing every week, there seems to be something more going on at Hudds.
Have they had any major changes in backroom staff or, is it the same as last season ?
Regarding Bradford, the Championship looks really competitive at the top with any 4 from 6/7 clubs fighting for the middle 8 but, I expect them to get there but 1st of 2nd may not happen.
Wakefield just need to keep playing as a team and picking up as many points as possible and we certainly shouldn't get too carried away.
3 wins on the bounce sure feels good though.

| I think people under rate how important Scott grix and robinson was in that team supporting Brough. Shudds need to get a couple of key players that can aid Brough in organising the team while creating in attack.
Lets hope they don't come sniffing around our players again, they can keep their hands off our young local winger and fullback and any other team for that matter.

| Any savouring depends entirely on where we finish. Those two doing so badly allows space in the top eight for others, and you never know, it could include us. If it does, I will love watching the middle eights.
If, however, we end up in the bottom four, there is no way I want the other Super League teams in it to include Huddersfield and Leeds, who are very good teams going through a crisis. Leeds have had bad starts before but come good at the end, and their side is packed full of very good players. Huddersfield cannot turn to dross overnight. I do think they have overachieved to an extent, but still a good side.
So I'll save my savouring until August, if you don't mind.

This my view too. Don't want the middle 8s to include teams like Leeds and Shudds. Hopefully by the end of the year we'll be joined by the same old faces.

| Great point Slugger.
If we end up in the Middle 8 would we really want to be competing with the Whinos and Midgets who are bound to improve from where they are. I think we'd do better in a Middle 8 which included Salford, Hull KR and a Brownless Widnes - they are much more our level of competition and have been over the years. Form is temporary.

| Slugger makes a good point about those two clubs, but come the middle eight's if they are still in the mix it will be for the simple fact that they have not improved and will be in there because they're not good enough and not because of who they are.

| It will be interesting to see if Leeds attendance figures stay the same if they continue to under perform .Unlike Trinity diehard fans they are not used to supporting a struggling team through bad andgood times.

It's a good point & will be interesting to watch. The Midgets certainly don't have a massive fan base & one of my Midget supporting mates at work is already on a massive whinge...
