May not be the best team available, but picked based on my favourites whilst growing up.
Tough call between Perry & Spencer at full back as tliked them both.
Also close call between Bagnall & Conway at scrum half. Opted for MC as i needed a goal kicker and it seemed he almost carried us single handedly at times in the early 90's.
Id like to sneak Ray Price in there also, but not sure the exact year he played?? Was it 89??

It was tough between Conway and Bagnall, but chose Bagnall, as I felt he was the more complete player. Kicking duties would have been with Nigel Wright. His all rounk kicking I thought was better than Mark Conway.

BOLD = ONES I'M CERTAIN ABOUT.
TBH nearly all of the above I could happily substitute, also many played well in more than one position. I thinks this shows how patchy a club like Wakefield was and is. I hate missing out Price because he was one of the few genuine top flight players we produced but S/R was one of our few successes - ditto Conway but Belly had to go somewhere and as a jack of all trades that wasn't easy.

Found it really hard to separate the half backs. I went with Conway for the goal kicking but Bagnall was a favourite of mine. Lazenby and Casey again were two of my favourites but when fit Wright was one of the best in the whole league.

All picked are my personal favourite choices
As iread down the list all the names brought a smile to my face for various reasons... With one of the best memories being, watching bagnall dismantle leeds at headingly the day we nilled them. With leeds fans throwing tickets from the stands and the leeds coach ( can't remember name)puffing away on 100s of fags from the dug out. as the hooter sounded I remember looking round at all the wakey fans and thinking how proud I was to follow my team!..
It is because of games like this that we still get on the 10 yard line to follow them when we are in the million pound games and fighting for super league survival.
