I think the OP was supposed to say "would do a great job for us AS the bench!"
I read somewhere that one the reasons he is available is because of the reduced interchange rules.
I've also seen an article talking about how great his game stats are for such little game time i.e. 92 meters in 4 drives during a 17 minute spell.... He’s a luxury player that I personally don’t feel we can afford.

I like George Rose (Twitter name georgeousgeorge ) and he can't be that bad playing first grade NRL. One of my fave guys to watch in NRL along with Penriths Nigel Plumb who has sadly retired this season who was a hard as nails and tackling machine.

Whilst I've been a big fan of George Rose over the years, from what I've seen in recent times his best years are behind him. Manly got the best of his services and that was a while ago.
For a club like us he's a luxury we just can't afford cost or squad wise.
