The play offs so far have been ok. But let's not kid ourselves apart from the Bradford game we've struggled. Yes we are definitely playing better than we were - no doubt. However of our six competitive wins this year three were against championship teams. I agree Leigh was a really tricky one but they are still not SL level.

HKR are wounded big style and if they respond in a positive manner we simply are not good enough to beat them IMHO.

However if they are either physically or mentally fatigued or better still both we must exploit it as the golden opportunity it might be.

I worry because this team has shown a stubborn inability all season to know when to knuckle down. We start slow, we concede points and we play only in the last 20 minutes when all is truly lost.

We must correct this and start the game on fire and battle for the full 80. Mindset is everything! If we do we may win in which case with 2 out of the 3 remaining games truly winnable we may just avoid the dreaded million pound game. A GAME I DON'T THINK OUR OFTEN PANIC STRICKENED TEAM CAPABLE OF WINNING.

This game is vital and a huge challenge, come on boys step forward and play like you have not so far this season.

MASSIVE game Sunday, and IF we win I will start to believe for the first time in a long time we can stay in SL.
It will be a very big step to survival.

Think the great Hull KR support will do their level best to lift their players. On paper we have no chance, I liked the way we held on at Leigh showing some real desire and determination which can go a hell of a long way in winning a game. We really have to stick to no mistakes simple Rugby.

Sunday is all about getting into their faces early on and preventing their crowd playing too large a part.
KR are very vocal and the ref will be under pressure to give things their way.
We HAVE to get them doubting their own ability and then score some points.

If we let them get on top early on, we will come away with nowt.

Sundays all about 2 points in the bag, and I don't care how they get them.

I would say they are standing up and being counted.

Well we didn't start slowly against Leigh. We were all over them for 15 minutes or so and then managed to let them back in the game.
The second half we did not leave to the last twenty.
We were the better team all the half and and they scored zero to our 11.

I think the win against Leigh should not be underestimated. That was a good win.
They were on their way to beating Hull KR and looked dominant, and they've beaten 2 super league clubs this season. We have beaten 3!

In some ways, a game against SL opposition might be beneficial - Leigh are tricky largely because they do unexpected and unorthodox things, and we don't defend especially well against that, particularly when there's pace involved. I would hope that a game played at SL speed with a bit more structure might be good for us - and if they're missing Kelly and Campese, that's a massive boon.

Tough ask, but if we can nick two points from this one, we'll be in a very good position; it's vital therefore that we don't have a slack 20 minutes or so, which seems to be the habit, as HKR will exploit that more ruthlessly than Leigh were able to.
