Week in week out we see wingers scoring tries from just a half chance. Makinson, Penny, Hall, Carney and even Richard Owen, you give them a glimpse of the line and they'll go to extraordinary lengths to get that ball down over the line.
We have Chris Riley who needs the chuffin thing on a plate. Today he had at least three possible chances and surrendered the lot. That 1st one when Locke put him away he couldn't even keep chuffin possession.
In a tight middle 8's game 1 missed chance could be the difference between Championship or Super League.

I thought Riley was enthusiastic and involved today. Tell me what Tansey contributed on the other wing?

Neither are Super League standard wingers. Don't think Tansey got the opportunities Riley did.

I don't disagree but Riley looked to help out our forwards far more than Tansey.

Don't really class wasting one drive/tackle on a headless chicken 1 metre scoot which as a high probability of turning the ball over as real help.. Ben Cockayne was effective but not Riley.

I don't agree about Riley.
The kick through just bounced the other way as he was putting hands on.
The one where he was tackled in to touch he was well covered and to be honest I thought he got the ball away too. Bad decision there.

I thought he had some poor passes to the wing and probably made more ground in first up drives than any of the forwards.

We'll have to agree to disagree, it's a game of opinions. Fox and Cockayne were both better than today's pairing.

So was Fred Smith and Gert Coetzer, but they don't play for us now either

Personally I don't want to see Riley again unless forced to by injuries etc. . Like previous poster said we have to take our chances and he is just so slow to react to anything. Johnstone would have scored the first effort imo , Riley seems to take a few seconds to decide what to do instead of just going for the line. Hopefully B. Smith now knows the team he wants to play and we can see a more settled side going into the next few weeks. Also thought Craig Hall was poor again today…..no enthusiasm whats so ever….

Hall why chose to single him out, this appears more to do with expectation rather than fact. I would remind you that the majority of the tries came on the Lyne and Riley wing plus Anakin was responsible for missing a tackle allowing Warrington to score their first points plus he tried to pass giving Warrington possession from which they scored again. I would also point out that after the second error he was immediately pulled off by Smith.

I have no problem with Anakin but I do with people who look to regurgitate what they have read from the experts who post on here.

When Annakin tried to pass he was facing the northstand and we were attacking the southstand how could Bentham say it was a knock on the Wire player knocked on trying to reach for the ball

In reply to S. Pimpernell I chose to single Hall out because I thought he was poor today and has been on many previous occasions….he has had umpteen chances to show his intentions and has failed miserably IMO obviously !!!!

Yep its disappointing that Hall does not appear to have responded to the arrival and input of Brian Smith like most of others in squad.

Well its obvious to me and probably more on here that the poster has a thing about Riley as he is the only player he lambasts every post.

Personally i'd be taking a look at the guy stood next to him, who in my opinion is reverting back to his old useless self.
