| I thought we played a lot better this afternoon and the score flattered Catalan. The video referee was no help whatsoever. After seeing the replay almost a dozen times he disallowed Godinet's try. French video r and a French team playing. Say no more. The commentator said that Miller was drawn by the Catalan attack. The time it took him to attempt the tackle he could have been painted in oils. For every good thing he does he does two bad. The majority of the team played well and Godinet really tried, something that Tim smith should start doing every now and again instead of leaving it to everybody else. A lot of positives though I thought.

Much better considering it's probably the hardest fixture on the SL schedule. Results don't really matter now we just need the big improvement in performances. Lots of reasons to be positive for the middle .

100% agree, the big picture is the M8s and game by game improvement is what's important now. As a few have said before this is pre-season for us and B Smith.
That said the fans would love to see a win or two and that'd lift everyone massively!

| I don't think a win is too far away. Another week and a bit to work with the players and maybe a couple more fit to add to the squad then it just might click for the full 80. A win in one of the 2 games against Hull and that will surely give us a further lift. I'm certainly very optimistic, after running Catalans close on their own patch it just shows how far we've progressed in Brian Smith's short tenure. Can't wait for that win now to get the monkey off our back.

Spot on. They've got two bruising games with Leeds whilst Smith and the boys can get themselves ready for the game at Belle Vue.
I think the run will be halted then. and the club record 12-match losing run in 2001 will remain intact.

| Yes they did look a bit better and we do have a few players to come back. However the players due to return are nearly all forwards and they will no doubt strengthen our pack and our options in the middle. However I thought our pack did pretty well yesterday.
To me the problem is 1 to 5 without going into individual players I would say we are very week in that area and the present lot are as bad as we have ever had in SL. There is only so much improvement you can get before basic natural ability stops you getting any better. I think we have recruited badly with the backs and we certainly need at the very least a good solid fullback, a decent centre and a decent winger.

| A great improvement. The score was a farce! As has been said, the video ref. was pathetic. With just a little bit of luck you could have had two points, after playing some good rugby. A win is not far off. Good luck.
