Steady player...whether it's got anything to do with the quality of coaching but Trout going to Hunslet on a season long loan could possibly signal the end of his Trinity career.

Like Wildie his development hit a brick wall and he probably hasn't fulfilled the potential shown in the Academy years ago.

As I understand it Trout is on a very good deal at Wakey and will not be in any rush to leave.

I like Trout but he is not a super league level player. Low squad player at best and that would block a place for a young kid with more potential.
It's better for him to play at his level. High level championship would suit him.

I believe he is one of the last on a contract offered by our former Chief Exec/Bruce Forsyth lookalike.

At the time it was probably great for him and his family, but now when he looks back, it has probably cost him a serious crack at it as we have spent the last 2 years trying to get him off the wage bill and not always gone about it in the right way!
If his deal hadn't have been so good, i think he could have made a reliable squad member. Very rarely lets us down when he plays although at the same time is not going to set the world alight. A squad running to a salary cap needs these types.

Like most on here I only see Trout if he get's into the 17 for a game, when he played with the u19s I used to see a lot of him as quite a few on here did, personally I found his attitude left a lot to be desired in as much that half the time he could not be bothered, he also gave the impression he was lazy and considering his size and how good the team was you would have thought he would have made more of himself and moved on to achieve a higher standard.

look at the stats of how many tackles missed when he played! like owen people moan ! also remember he is down as a back row forward but played at prop..how can you condition yourself to play prop second row and loose?? that is a coaches fault in my opinion!

Really feel sorry for this kid, dont really believe he has had a decent run. Always looked ok to me but has never got a decent run in the first team. Good luck to him hope he proves everybody wrong at WT. Unless there are major changes under B.Smith there is nothing to say that the current crop of youngsters wont go this way.

Certainly not "bagging" and wouldn't say in the know either although I do know a couple of people close to Kyle.

His last contract was given by JE when he was throwing cash and living accommodation around like we had no worries. Is that not true?
Have we been trying to offload him for the last 2 years??

I don't think he has ever let us down and I personally don't think he has been given a fair crack. I think the lad himself wants and should be playing every week at this stage of his career and unfortunately, it looks like he will have to move to do that.

As I said in my previous post the only time I see anything of Trout is when he's called up to the starting 17, so I can't comment on his stats and I bow to your superior knowledge on that score, what I did comment on and do so from watching him on a regular basis in junior football was that imo and that of others was that his attitude was wrong and was lazy and it's not surprising he has not elevated to a higher standard despite the ability he possessed.
