The basics ain't there for example in attack we don't kick the ball high enough for the chasers to put pressure on the other teams catcher. We tend to just let them catch it under no pressure then they get a head start. Also how many repeat sets do we force?Not many!I raised the point last year our kick offs are garbage high in the air same spot 99% of the time. Yesterday been saying it's a dry day hammer it on the floor we did it once and got the ball back. If it doesn't come off so be it, cant be much worse than the simpleton kicks we do to the same man every week.Kicking game basics will help us in the long run.

Our attacking kicking game has been poor. How many times has Carl Hall stuck the ball up in the air only to be taken comfortably by a full back under no pressure. We have seen the value of the little grubber in to the in goal by opposing teams against us but we simply revert to hoofing it up in the air.

It's a good job Owen has nothing to do with the kicking

Craig Hall not kicked it bad but he doesnt kick it over much. Smith kicking thats been poor. Very basic errors. We are short on numbers so we need to attack more than defend we need to force repeat sets which we hardly do and force errors on high bombs but they are not high we give them time to catch it.

Seems like we reverted to Kirmond making a couple of last tackle kicks yesterday!!

Our last tackle options are very limited; Smith has the capacity to do really good things at the line, but we have absolutely no guile when it comes to forcing a repeat set, managing a game or putting the opposition under pressure; and we need to, given that we're not getting near the line often enough.
