| I was there and I'd be surprised if there was 2000 but not sure that has anything to do with salary cap as its a £ figure these days it's been a long time since it was based on a clubs turnover

| Dr Moneybags was moaning midweek (he usually manages at least one per week) about how he feared an attendance below 3,000.

Don’t forget the default mode.
Yep Salford may have won, but we get more fans than that .
If Wakey won the G.F with half a dozen fans in support, I’d be a happy bunny.
The S.C is the limit clubs can pay for their squad, therefore if Salford are at the limit it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out that Koukash is making up the shortfall.

24-18 to you if you did not go, and yes winning is as a rule the be all and end all hth.
Oh and fwiw Coolcash has every right to have a moan about the poor coaching the lack of effort from overpaid and under performing players' at your club, not to mention the embarrassing lack of support from the fair weather fans'.

| Our attendances are hardly super though are they? Leave Salford to it and concentrate on sorting our own attendances
out.

| They were always on a hiding to nothing on attendance yesterday.
Mothers Day so lots of fans doing family stuff, plus Man United at home and on TV at the same time. It's still fairly obvious to everyone that football is always going to be a bigger draw than Rugby League in Manchester.
Really surprised they didn't go for Friday night for this one.

I think the point here is that attendances are a valid talking point!
We don't have to restrict ourselves to only discussing results, the game and business of RL is multi faceted, why can't we discuss it all?
Some wounded Salford fan, Embarassed by his teams support, wants to avoid a big talking point about his clubs awful attendances and tries to limit the conversation to just results, we've talked about results but he/she ignores that.

No one's saying you can't. In my opinion we are hardly in a decent position attendance wise ourselves.
That in its self is probably a different discussion but we can't really look down at Salford's attendance until we get ours back up where they should be. But by all means discuss all away!

From a Salford fan, the attendance was pathetic & very worrying. If you lot had brought as many as you did last year, you'd have outnumbered the home fans! (That's not a dig at you guys, just at ourselves)
As has already been said, unfortunately it was never going to be a great crowd, with United playing & ir being mothers day. I'm genuinely worried for the future of our club at the moment though, Marwan seems to becoming more & more unsettled with our lack of support, which he has every right to be. If the recent figures for projected costs of the ground are true then you have to wonder how much longer he'll put up with it.
Our next home game is on a Thursday night vs Widnes which isn't great either. On the bright side we *could* be unbeaten in 4 games and sitting between 4th-6th in the league by then. If that happens and we get less than 5k I'll be seriously worried.

| As the Salford fan above says, it is a highly relevant factor for Salford. Marwan moans about the lack of support, and seems frustrated by it. His flirt with Bradford, through his wife, shows that he wants to be a big-time Charlie at a big club, wants to be the emperor of all he surveys, etc. He won't carry on indefinitely.
Now, if he fancies a pop with a genuine sleeping giant ........

| You have to wonder how long Koucash will put up with the losses whilst the public seem disinterested. I doubt he became a successful businessman by chasing lost causes, if he doesn't see some payback for his endeavours soon then i fear he will walk away. Hasn't he already professed an interest in owning an nrl club? He would need plenty of investment for that and Salford would soon become an unnecessary drain.
