The Trinity Heritage team have been working on this for a number of years but are launching officially this week.
Each player gets their own number, in order of appearance from first game to the last debutant
So as an example No. 746 is David Topliss. Every player who played at least once, has a number.
They are primarily showing the photos and details of the players through Facebook:

They are launching this week with a series of photos and details in groups:
Trinity Internationals was Monday
Overseas stars was Tuesday
Local Heroes Wednesday
The full list will be launched on the Wakefield Trinity Website and they are looking into a possibility of a publication of some kind.
Worth a look if you are on Twitter or Facebook.
Not many other clubs have done this and it is a great way of celebrating every single Wakefield Trinity player across our illustrious history. |

I'll second that, some quality players and some quality shirts.
Would like to see the one Bill Ashusrt and Alan McCurrie are wearing with the W on it in colour.
Could idle away hours on there posting comments on past memories.  |

Although some clubs have got better websites than ours, I haven't seen a better heritage type site anywhere.
The club should really get behind this and shout about it.

Superb effort by all involved.
The value of heritage and history to a club like ours should not be underestimated.
I too would like to see more made of this. I would like to see a heritage presence in the club shop. Either as a rotating window display or a section within the shop. This could include memorabilia, features on past players or even video where available.
This could lead to a whole range of heritage merchandise, not necessarily shirts, but certainly the smaller stuff. I don't know whether the badge used on the profile pic was ever used in earnest, but I think it would be great to adopt it on the products. Long term, a more permanent museum display in a new/upgraded stadium.
Clearly, nostalgia isn't as good as it used to be but it could rekindle interest in the club from a slightly different market.
