Parachute payment and increased funding for the championship clubs will see better players willing to drop down a level particularly at a club with a good chance of getting straight back into SL. Having said that they should still be operating at a minimum £500k budget lower than Trinity next season.

It's been rumoured on here, and his lack of game time may have convinced him his future lay elsewhere, not to mention any increase in remuneration.

I don't think that there is any parachute payment for the 2 sides that drop this time, and to be honest if they have outbid you for a player he is hardly going to be a world beater is he, probably would have just been a squad player for you but a starting player for them.
