| Paul Sykes continuers to get abuse from some sections yet I reckon he's been the unsung hero of the season.
He's tried whenever he's played and single handedly won us the Widnes game whilst his long range penalty calmed the nerves against London. Then on Sunday a sublime pass sets up Lyne to seal the game.
I agree he looks better with Smith but for me pound for pound he's the best signing Agar made and seems to be an evergreen just getting better with age. For a player who was old, passed it and never really lived up to expectation and came for nowt it was shrewd.
I know some won't agree but for me it's take a bow Mr Sykes.

| Agree with this, his pass for Lynes Try in the second half was outstanding also.

| I think he struggled when playing centre but, back in the halves and especially with Smith at his side he looks good.
Our kicking game (and kick chase) on Sunday was excellent !

| I don't think its always down to contract talks why he had a good game its more motivation that has come from Tim that helped him pick his game up

Point is IMHO he was playing well before Smith got back, just wasn't getting credit for it.

| Think he's been a easy target in the past.
Now we are playing on the front foot he's going well.

I agree. They form a good half back partnership & their styles of play complement each other.

| I think Smith gives him time he needs in the ball.
The ball comes accurate and fast which allows him to run or put the pass in.
His pass is a slow one which balances well with Smith but on it's own it just looks to slow play down.
Strong in defence too.

| Just hope he can keep his form, dont think hes ever let the team down. It will be interesting if his form dips, he will soon become an old git who should be shipped out.

I agree. He's no speed merchant (never was) but has other qualities required of a SO and a good enough goalkicker.
He seems to keep himself fit so why not give him another year.
