| For all the posts regarding changing the coach, player positions etc, one thing i haven't seen anything about, is whether or not the club employs or employs the services of a sports psychologist. Quite a few have posted how the team seem "beaten" more mentally rather than physically.
If we don't employ one maybe we should bring someone in, most, if not all top flight professional sportsmen / teams use them. Belief and desire in what we are all calling for, Maybe some of the players do not have the same affinity for the badge that the fans do, in this day and age of journeymen pros it not really that surprising. Maybe if some-one can channel that energy it maybe just the edge we need.
Just a thought...

| love it!
ok you half backs are first, your not feeling loved, so in this weeks game id like you to give the ball to someone you know, maybe someone you have seen during the week in training then they wiil like you?
forwards your hurt because people are abusing you and treading all over you, stand up for yourself and push them back, then you will also be loved.
ah mr agar, come in, sit down, this is going to take a while..........................

Whilst amusing. I think you are mistaking a psychiatrist for a psychologist!

good point, however
id have a sociologist, ie, look you earn good money, thus you are privalidged and respected, but the poorer people of wakefield contribute to that by their entrance taxes, and would like to see you sweat.
and a criminalologist.......................you get paid................ how much????????????
and an escapeologist, to get me out of going next sunday!
that ok?

You're not wrong!
I Think we all need a psychiatrist for supporting Trinty,
An apologist for the team being so poor and a chronologist to show us when the good times were!

| Sadly many on here suffer from the Napolean complex which they chose to demonstrate all too often.

Your point is not lost Dreadnaught.
I think they need this more because of the team dynamics.
Agar said when he arrived that there was no natural captain.
He gave it to Southern, and I can see why. Unfortunately his injury and performance dip (and an idiot on Twitter) put paid to that.
It then fell to Kirmond, who is a great team captain, but not the type of leader you need for the trenches.
If Kirmond is Captain, he needs a sergeant major. I don't see one in that team.
A psychologist could help the group find a way of dealing without one.

Another player Agar insisted on playing out of position. He just wasn't a prop, if he'd have been played in the backrow where he had played the rest of his career then he would have been a very good player and captain for us.

I agree - another player who was unfairly bagged; he came to do some work with our junior team whilst he was still here and said pretty much the same: "I'll play wherever the boss tells me to, but I'm getting bashed up every week."
He also said that SL was way more intense and hurtful than a lot of Aussie players believe it to be.
