| I thought the planning permission for the warehouses depended on building a ground for WTW? or is it just we have a ground to play in?

| Quote: "“The developer and club are happy with either, but on balance it was agreed we could make progress more quickly on a complete redevelopment of Belle Vue.”'" why would progress be more quicker on a redvelopment of Belle Vue when it would need to go through the planning process AGAIN...

| Ah well I always thought NM was a little too far out of town. Such a shame all that time and effort has been gone to waste.
Many questions come to mind. Are the club buying back BV? Where are they likely to pull £10m out of? Planning will be difficult to obtain given the surroundings. I don't see anything happening in the next five years?

I would imagine Yorkcourt have to provide us with a stadium fit for purpose inline with the planning permission on the warehousing which IS going ahead, so they will have to pay for it??

I would hope this is so. Hope that some of the money goes to buying back belle vue or at least a very long lease on a cheap rent. Could work out better than newmarket but like some one else has posted its been a lot of wasted time and money. A bit like the original glass houghton plans.

| Wow, this thread’s going to run & run!
Looking forward to seeing the new proposals, I never wanted to move to a new development.
I just hope its fit for purpose in the 21st century, not a Glover style bodge.
There’s plenty of room on three sides, not sure about the western terrace though.

Not really, without the hard work and campaigning we would of never got to this stage. It's all linked it seems. I await the details.

| At the very least Id expect York Court to build one grandstand in the next two years then develop the rest of the stadium over the next five years.
A big full length of the pitch stand on the West terrace with corporate and supporters facilities would hugely improve BV and would also give us some credibility with the sceptics who no doubt will be out in force again.
There's no reason why we can't do what Widnes did to Naughton Park
