| No need to worry about Ganson this time. He'll be at Wheldon Road with his scarf on, singing something about a night out at Martine's, and a spit, fish and curry.

| If Tim Roby is the reason why Trinity lose this game I’d be delighted.

Maybe not but he'll do his best to make it even turdier

| Someone at the RFL is having a laugh by appointing Roby to officiate our game so soon after he shafted us against Sts

| Why would the RFL waste a decent ref on a game likely to be a no contest?

| The sensible thing would have been for Ganson to have put Child to ref this game again. I genuinely thought Child ref'ed Sundays game excellently... never thought I would say that, but it is the best performance I have seen from him. But, when did Ganson make sensible decisions!

| Blinking heck, as if the odds are not against us enough! Roby is probably the worst ref I've seen for a decade or more. Anyone remember the stinker he had when we were at the KC last year in the Cup?
I agree with you Armadillo, I thought Child had a good game last Sunday and was fair. My only gripe was that in the first 10 minutes or so I thought he missed at least 3 nasty looking high tackles. That aside, no complaints from me (about the ref).

Come on, you don't really think the authorities have it in for us?
It's apathetic players, dropping ball, giving away sloppy penalties, a coach who doesn't appear to be able to motivate that is gonna be our downfall, let's not turn into Cas fans blaming all and sundry as opposed to the people at the heart of the matter.

I think there's an attitude amongst the officials to some of the lesser teams in the comp - not just us, but it certainly includes us; we can't get the rub of the green, we can't influence the ref in the way that your Sinfield's and Wilkin's can, and we seem to be more readily penalised for things that bigger teams get away with, particularly around the ruck area.
That said, you're absolutely right - the basic errors we make are entirely down to our own players; I just don't think that having my viewpoint about the officials precludes that from being the case.

Not overtly no. But we tend to get the poorest quality refs much more frequently. It always seems to be Roby and Hicks and I don't think they are particularly good.
