So, you guys had the expereince of the bland, non-plussed voice of our TV official announcing try/no try and reasons for this weekend.

I've only heard this on the TV thus far - but what I've heard it just seems a horrible pointless gimmick. It totally detracts from the magnitude of the event, your team scoring a try is supposed to be the peak points in the game. Do we really need some deafeningly loud, bored voice saying "and the decision is, a try to wakefield, the ball was grounded"

do we need that!? really!?

We don't need a decision taking 3-4 minutes to decide when it's clear, thus allowing the defensive team ages to reset and have a rest.

it's all a gimmick cause Gansn can't stand being off the TV!

I have been thinking the same, but....the concept is a good idea but as any good comedian will tell you - it's all about the delivery.
If we are going to have the likes of Ganson and Smith announcing the verdict then for god's sake at least give them some training as to how to announce it, rather than..."ERMMMM....ERMMMM....THE, THE ERRMMMM DECISION....IT'S, ITS A..... ERRMMM..... TRY 'COS THE BALL.... ERRMMMM WAS GROUNDED OVER THE LINE" ....

Now that they no longer give explanations, all they do is repeat what is displayed on the screen. Sounds aweful, gruff northern voices!!

And the decision is.................its awful.

We turn the tv on and we expect to be entertained.
This is garbage.
I reckon it puts even more pressure on the idiots to make a decision and lets face it they struggle most of the time to get things right.
The quality of refereeing/video refs is so bloody awful it is untrue and they cant even cope when they have technology which clearly shows them what is happening. How they gave that try the other night is beyond me - lets face it no one else in the rugby universe thought it was and even those on Twitter didnt think it was either!!!

Just watched the Wigan game and how refreshing for the referees to get most things right and not to be centre stage....oh and also for the commentators to occasionally take a sip from their coffee.

I also dont like the way the likes of Hicks et al run round with smirks on their faces.

There are lots of other things I do not like but I do like cheese and pickle sandwiches and because it is now lunchtime I am going to go and make one.
