| Popped down to the ground today, disappointed to see there was no sign at the main entrance advertising the Dulls game on Thursday.
Thoughts.

| I suppose while we are only at half capacity the need for advertising the fixture is not a major one.
When we are back up to 2/3 - 3/4 capacity this needs addressing as it's one thing that has been consistently underdone.

| I'm not thinking this is needed so much now.
We are not really getting passing traffic that will suddenly remember there is a game.
There are plenty of ways to see when the games are on now.

| So all the billions of pounds spent on advertising each year, by numerous millions of company's must be a waste of time and money. It was only last year that people commented that we only had a couple of trailer boards out to advertise games.

| why advertise a game to walk-up fans when a good number of them will be turned away if they turn up on the off chance?
Surely this would do more harm than good in the long run

| Can't see the need for advertising the game while we are down to 5,333 capacity. If all season ticket holders turn up they will account for nearly 40% of that.

| Most advertising these days is via social media.
This game along with all other Wakefield Trinity Wildcats news is available on FB, twitter etc pretty much all the time.
That hits audiences in tens of thousands - a lot more than those driving past the ground or seeing the advertisement boards scattered around the City.

| How many times have we been able to say that a game could be a sellout!

If the crowd is only 2500 tonight, we may wish that it had received a "harder" sell.

| I can see quite a few Bradford fans staying at home, for several reasons:
It's intermittently pished it down for the past couple of hours.
It's on the telly.
It's Thursday night.
The ground capacity issue will make some people unsure if they'll get in.
The recent animosity between the two sets of supporters over the whole unfair treatment argument.
Could be a lonely night down at BV and grist for Billy Eve's mill on his VT attendances thread!

| What was the attendance in the end? I'm Down Under at the moment so haven't yet seen the game in full.

Very poor, very much like the performance from the team.
The club isn’t going to last as a SL entity with such pitiful support (Thursday night TV game notwithstanding). I can envisage a sub 4K figure for the visit of the Catalans and a similar figure (to the above) for the visit of Saints. Cas may push 6K if capacity allows it.
I stood in the ground in the run up to the match and the whole things was amateur. Newbies (if there were any) will not be encouraged to come back anytime soon. The whole pre-match reminded me of something from Phoenix Nights. For all the faults of the Glover and Elton era, pre match was generally a fun affair with load going on. Last night kind of set the tone for the rest of the evening. I hope the club soon get into a financial position to increase the marketing and promotional budget and to put some vigour into the pre-match entertainment. Hopefully when the weather is better we will see the retuen of the junior RL games.
