Yep richly deserved. As all ready mentioned hes played on one leg for the last 10 games or so and heavily marked but still an inspiration to his team mates. I hope he's still at the club next season. He's made from the same stuff as Demetriou, leading by example.

Great stuff Danny, well deserved. We've been so fortunate in having inspirational captains here, right back to Rocky Turner in my lifetime.

Delighted for him, but even more delighted with the statement elsewhere by Daddycool that he is staying. I missed the castleford game and with all the talk of players going after 40ish years of a season ticket had decided not to renew.
I know we have to sell and the likes of olli, cockayne, smith whilst good servants are all replaceable over time. But when there was all this talk of amor and kirmond going I decided enough was enough. At end of day I know the books have to be balanced but if we were never going to hang on to any of our players what is the point.

But if we are keeping the likes of kirmond, ali, collis smith poore then at least we have a nucleus of quality players - so i ll be down to get my three season tickets again on monday, so well done daddy cool
