| Total hypothetical, not a comment on our current CEO or 6. Purely a simple hypothetical question.
If we could have a "world class" CEO or stand off join our team in the offseason which would you take?
A world class 6 could turn us into a consistent top 8 side IMO, a new CEO could revolutionize our off field progress.

| New CEO, though we really do need a new 6. Someone who honestly has the clubs best interests at heart, and someone who can run a business from one day to next. Not convinced our current one is either of these
Sykes is ok at 6 and Smith 7, but there is nothing wrong in having the competition for places

In all seriousness I think there is a role for Jimmy at this club. He genuinely has a burning desire for the club to succeed and with work his cojones off to try and achieve it. The same can be said for Davide Longo, Martin Hopkins, Fozzy and the rest. We have good people working at this club, but have we got the right people in the correct role? Its just in my opinion but the club need a genuinely top quality, experienced CEO above them, someone who has a proven track record in turning businesses around and making them successful. Such a person wouldn't be cheap but would pay for themselves and more within 3 or 4 months. They would be someone who our current team could learn from and then maybe take back over from in the future. The people are out there if we will pay for them and i'm not sure we can afford not to.

All very true, apart from perhaps the 3 or 4 months thing - that's a big ask; I'd be more inclined to say 3-6 for smaller improvements and 6-9 for big ticket changes around culture and strategy.
All of that however comes at the cost of a 6 figure salary - can we afford to speculate to that extent? I doubt it very much.

All about value for money I suppose. We pay one or two of our players approaching a 6-figure salary so its not unheard of us to do so. Although we don't get value for money out of all of them!
Whatever it is something has to change though to raise revenue streams otherwise we will find ourselves either losing money every year until it becomes terminal or keeping cutting the budget until we can no longer compete and lose our superleague status.

I think the revenue streams can't be expanded much more. The ground can only hold so many and the hospitality likewise. The problem is that we have employed backroom staff for no gain. Trinity is a bit like Blackadder Goes Forth. Only trouble is i can't laugh, when the people with the say are making bad decsions and leaving the blokes on the frontline to pick up the pieces.
I would like to think that AG will have a look at his backroom staff and see where he can trim down to give some more coin where it matters.

| I do think we need both.
Errors have been made on and off the field, costing the club money.
Maybe with the finance issues, they need a proper finance director who can make decisions within the boardroom to make the decisions that the likes of JE/AG, who don't really have the financial nous.
As for the 6, this is needed, though one that can play 6 or 7. I think Tim Smith has been a shadow of himself from last season. I know his play has been affected by Sykes injuries, but at 27 or 28, should still be able to perform to a good standard. Other top quality players can do this.
