What areas do you think we need strengthening?
I'd give Sykes another year but we should be looking for another halfback to slowly put into the team, learning to play of Tim Smith.
Another centre if Lee Smith does go out, another prop forward if Ollie Wilkes is off too. Not too sure about resigning the youngsters just yet, lets hope we can see what they do in the remaining games off the season.

I don't really know about Goulding or Kay but I'd resign all the others.
Saying that I'd let some go depending who we were replacing with.
I'd keep Lee Smith regardless.

The problem is we have to sign some of the youngsters whether they are good enough or not as we need a minimum number of home-grown players in the squad.
That's why I want (and have wanted for a while) to see them being given some game time to develop. With 4 games left and the playoffs now almost impossible for us they need to play.
Cowling had an OK game yesterday, not fantastic but not bad - given some time to grow into it he can definitely be one of our centres going forward.
Wildie has played well in his stints at substitute hooker since Wood left (not sure why he has missed last couple though??)
Liam Kay has always looked like making it when I've seen him playing reserves, u21's and seems to be doing quite well at Donny. Time for him to stake a claim alongside Tim Smith IMO.
Goulding, I haven't seen play at all so can't comment but he wouldn't be "home-grown" for us anyway would he?

If what I'm hearing is true and there is no real emerging talent in the U19's group then these players have to be the home-growns in our squad until the talent comes through from the next age group down.

I agree, keep Lee Smith, he's a decent player and good goal kicker.

I think if Sykes would have been in the squad yesterday we might have pinched it, I'd consider another year option.

Wilkes has shown some worth in patches this season, but I'm not sure if he's shown enough.

Cowling and Kay have shown potential, I'd consider keeping them on.

Wildie seems to have been around a while but hasn't really done anything, Goulding sounds to be struggling in the Championship.

When he's had a decent chance he's held his own. As Fordy says we need a set number of club trained players in the squad. Its now time to give them that chance.

If true I would be a damn site more annoyed with this than the Mariano loss to Cas.

Can't see the Cowling one. They have a pretty good production line themselves and there as we also hear Lee Smith is going too I think it is more likely just a rumour.

Hasn't practically everyone been linked with Cas at some point this season? If the rumours were true they would almost be as bad as Shudds for stealing our players!

Wouldn't it be nice to get Smurph back, Club trained and to play in place of Fox.

A player I've always rated. Suffered from playing in such a make shift side in his last season. He never got to show what he could do going forward. Unfortunately he's now showing it with the league leaders.

Hopefully refreshing his batteries for next season after been played out of position and used as a battering ram his breif stint in the first team.

Hopefully we are learning from the Steve Southern days. No good just battering someone and then moaning they can't play their normal game.
I like Annakin a lot and I hope we are preparing him well for next season
