| The debacle at the magic weekend may prove to be the best result of the season.
Since the thrashing by Cas, we have taken Wigan all the way (losing out in the last 10 minutes) and then won 3 on the bounce.
Ok, the opposition may have been slightly weaker but, the win at Hull should not be underplayed, it was a top win and the boys showed plenty of character in securing the 2 points.
Assuming that we can beat Widnes, we come back to the 2 games against Leeds and the game against an out of form Saints.
Top 8 is now possible, Come on Trin !

Hmm, not sure about that - I think the top 8 would have been a lot more possible if we had beaten them!

| any 2 points would make a difference - however its more the points that we have given to the teams about us that look like 4 pointers each time
Bradford 40-0, saints 52-18 hull kr 17-45 at home
The game in hand and the home games against saints bradford and castleford are massive, all 4 pointers plus winning at least one of the leeds games. Beat widnes and win those and we will make the eight , big ask given some of the points we have dropped

| Kinleycat , spot on.We have also helped Bradford, Hull and Kr all go on a good run. We have dropped some crazy points and I see the game against Wids a must win. Turn on the style and take them to bits.Last season the home game against them was drab

| Without underestimating this game i think we need to take Widnes to the cleaners, and all our players need to be on their games.
Four wins is a big deal and a dominant well executed performance with Tim continuing to improve and become more pivotal will set us well for the games coming up.

| Surely from a logical point of view it makes sense to want us to beat Saints. Should we do the business (which wont be easy) you lot could be joint 8th monday night, should they beat us and you lose, the gap will be 4 (as good as 5 with PD). For me, it's last chance saloon this week for us as I'd say it is for Widnes too. It would be good if a fair few teams were still in the mix come september for the 8.

It would be fantastic if the last game of the season decided who between Wakefield and Cas finished in 8th position. It would be like the million pound game all over again. Belle Vue would be rocking.

Agreed and for once it would be for a positive not negative reason.

The point I was trying to make was that, if we has lost narrowly to Cas having played ok, there wouldn't have been the outcry from the fans etc and we have now won 3 on the bounce (plus a narrow defeat to Wigan).
Had the Cas result been tighter, we would have probably trundled along sneaking the odd win here and there, but instead, we have started to build up some momentum and as we saw last season, a confident team can cause a few upsets
