Hull (A)
Widnes (H)
Leeds (A)
Leeds (H)
Bradford (H)
Warrington (A)
Sts (H)
Hudds (A)
Cas (H)

The teams around us are Bradford, Widnes and Cas, with Sts holding the 8th spot.

I personally think Bradford won't get another point until we play them as they are playing tough games against top teams and Cas have got some hard games coming up too, although they proved against Hull they have it in them.
My worry is Widnes who have a slightly easier run in than us and are showing some form.

So, I'd like to see Hull mess up like they did against Cas, though they are bound to be tougher now, and hopefully we can target Leeds for 4 points while they are in disarray.
But that makes the Widnes game a VERY big game for us.

Sts seem to be picking up form again now so we may be chasing the Hull teams if we want an 8th spot. Not impossible but we need that run to start now if we are going to do it.

9th would be a great effort in my opinion and that's where a good run will take us.
Lets get it done Trinity!

Even though it's a tough task, I still think it's in our own hands. As you say Bradford, Widnes, Sts & Cas are around us, but we play all of those at home.

If we can win 13 games for the season (+ the draw) then that should see us in the 8.

So, if we can win all our home games (doable? with Leeds struggling?) and one of the four away games, we should be in. icon_smile.gif

Mmm, Sky didn't have that on their list that I copied. Thanks for spotting that.
Makes it even more important then as it's a good opportunity to drag them back too.

We should stop this talk now and just think like the players and coaching staff will and take each game as it comes. Bradford board were doing this and look where it got them ( now severely depresses and calling for axe already ). Last year we didn't look to far ahead and this helped a lot.

Trinity have beaten two poor teams in the last two games. They have been awful before that. Lets not get carried away with thoughts of top 8 on the back of those victories. Anything above 10th will be a bonus IMO.

Appreciate it's going to be tough, but think playoffs should definitely remain our target as long as it is achievable, which at the moment it is.

One game at a time folks.
It was great to gain another 2 points yesterday but, the opposition were very poor and for the first 20 in the 2nd half, a poor London team were better than us.
We have yet to put in a quality 80 min performance but, IF we can start to play consistently, then we can begin looking at making progress in the league.
We are 4 points away from 8th and it will be the 2 Leeds games that now make or break us this season, which is a bit scary.

The reality is that we are unlikely to make the 8, and even if we do we'll be just making up the numbers, again.

For us, it's about finishing as high up the table as possible, both this year and next, to ensure we're included in the top flight come 2015 and hopefully continue to grow steadily.

You do realise what we say on here doesn't actually affect teh game at all?
We've had people calling for the axe all season.

No harm in knowing what the target is, just don't treat it as any more than that though.

We're all on the Wakefield trinity roller-coaster. Just when your expecting to go up you go down and when you expect the worst, you may get a pleasant surprise !

The target has to be playoffs. Anything less has to be viewed as a step backwards in my opinion. We've had two easy games in Salford and London where we've rattled up a score. The acid test is Hull FC next week....win there and i'll start to believe that we could make the top 8.

Think we have left it too late to make the play offs when you look back at the games we should have won we should be in.While the chance is still there to make the play offs thats what should be aimed for thats only natural but its going to be a big ask. That ask is made better with the Leeds games coming up with the injury list they have who knows that snow we had that had the game cancelled could be a blessing.

Yep can't quite see us making the 8 but that shouldn't stop us from trying and hopefully a few teams above us will cock up. I think we've got some very winnable games left and as we all know we can win some of the most unlikely games, on the flip side lose some as well. Like les-goose says if only we could have finished a couple of those early season games off better than we did at Hudderfield, Catalan and Salford we'd be right up there.

The target should be to win all remaining games regardless of play offs.
