He's sounds like he's had a tough time, it also seems its been tough on the wife and kids. he's a very lucky man.

I can relate to OCD conditions as it effected me at work.

In engineering your subject to times to complete jobs no different than any other job but you have a duty to make sure it meets standards whether its quality or safety.
My last job was working in the pharmaceutical industry in which standards was so high it was a total grind to complete anything without question, times was put against you to try and keep within budget but then you'd end up in a panic knowing that you was struggling to meet them as the job became harder.

There's nothing I would shy away from and enjoy the hardest task, but in today's throw away world everything is wanted quick and at the cheapest price. I'm finding the principles that I was taught is being brushed under the carpet and I finding it hard to change

Just goes to show that no one knows what turmoil is going on in peoples minds. So glad he and his family have come out the other side with a positive ending. Good luck for the future Paul.

Have often thought when watching him play what an awfull player he must be to play against, hard as nails and all elbows and knees.

For my money he is one of the games hardmen, not really a nasty player just tough as old boots.

OCD is terrible and you have no control of it and the one thing he has is a great woman by his side to help him through it.

As we're talking OCD, it's affected, not effected

Great to see a player unquestionably viewed by sports fans, even those with no love for RL, as an uncompromising competitor, talking candidly about his struggles with Psychiatric illness & confirming that mainstream NHS (solidly evidence- based ) treatment as helpful/effective.
Hopefully will encourage others with same problems to seek treatment instead of suffering, along with their loved ones.

Good to know that all is getting back to how it was before and thank goodness he spoke to his friend at Warrington and his wife and got help.

He's a lucky lad to have such an understanding wife.

I agree. She is the brave one in that story. Hope it works out for them both.
