Trying again as my first attempt was removed...

Tonight me and my mate stood under the screen and there was absolutely no atmosphere. The team only got a clap when they scored, no other encouragement was given regardless of the effort they put in. Having read countless reports about the impact of the fans support me and my mate tried to change this. By half time we had a few others involved and had received positive praise from a lady in front but ten minutes later we were being called things that I can't even hint at on here or the thread will be deleted again and by another Wakey 'fan', it was the first thing they had said all game!!!

I know some of you lot are miserable sods but please try and get behind the team during the game, don't just wait until they score to show your appreciation!

Mate, I feel your pain. I had the misfortune to venture under the old scoreboard for a game a couple of years ago and a bigger set of whingers and moaners will never be found.

On a positive note, I thought the backing from the N stand was excellent, can't remember hearing a HKR song at all though.

In 24 years of visiting Belle View I've never heard such offensive language as what this other 'fan' was firing at me and my mate!!! If he would have been an away fan there would have been an uproar!!!

He actually said we should have been in the north stand, I didn't realise you weren't allowed to cheer on the team from anywhere else!!!

Honestly when I went there, Korky made a good 30m run, busting a couple of tackles and got brought down. The people around were complaining that he hadn't offloaded it! I think I posted about it at the time, but yeah - that corner does seem to be a magnet for our more hateful supporters.

Mate, I respect your enthusiasm but you didn't half get on my nerves. It was funny the first time but it got annoying. So much so that you weren't supporting the team either just singing crap songs about the lack of singing and merging with Cas.

Its pretty clear it was a less vocal area of the ground. Instead of moaning just move. Its not as if you're sat down.

seems to me this is a personal thing. I regard myself as being pretty vocal but I draw the line at singing (you don't want to hear it!) Some people don't want to be vocal and I can respect that.
If I wanted to sing and chant I would make myself a member of the North stand vocal society.
Live and let live for heavens sake- the non vocal people are paying to be at the game and it's their prerogative to be vocal or not.

As a general point, the ground did sound as though it was buzzing- plenty of chanting generally and just sounded like a good atmosphere.

From my vantage point behind the tv, it made me very jealous I couldn't be there!

Apart from the half time dance routine by you and your mate and the young lad I though it was pretty cringing stuff that got on most people's nerves in that area.
As others have suggested you could have stood with the choir and sung all night happily and not come into conflict with anyone.

That's why there is a terrace around 3 sides of the ground so there is something for everyone in terms of viewing experience and atmosphere. Stop complaining and join the back of the north stand where you will be stood with like minded folk.

Really cannot understand why you are complaining about lack of atmosphere stood in a place where fans like to relax and talk to one another about the game. Saying that you would of been drop kicked out of the north stand as you sounded like you smoke a 1000 a day.

Having heard many times how the crowd can lift the team, our intentions were only to get a very quiet section of the ground to show some vocal support to the lads on the pitch. I apologise if this offended anyone or if we had an impact on your enjoyment of the game, this was not our intention, sorry.

Next time we will stay in the North.

Im sure the abuse you got from one of our own was no worse than the language between one of our own and a KR female on the western terrace in the second half.Fortunatley a few of us shouted for them to cut the abuse as children about and they did.I was on the point of going looking for a security steward to give them a warning about the language it was that bad everyother word and you could see that it was about to get out of hand.Fortunatley they took note of what the rest of us told them to do "Calm it down".

Talking about whingers, i've sat in the eastern stand for over 20 years and had the same group of 2 or 3 morngy old blokes shouting negative tripe in my lug hole without fail every game, never have anything good to say when they pipe up. Then at half time they'll have a fag and a good old whinge some more. Dont understand what they think it achieves, may aswell stay at home and shut up
